You originally claimed that Trump essentially concocted this exigency primarily to distract from the impeachment process which was a knee jerk indictment based on your opinions and contradicted by the timeline of the events on the ground.

That these events initiated by Iran were a distraction that benefited Trump is not deniable, however, the ones that tried to exploit it were the democrats, who are now beginning to look very stupid.

Qasem Soleimani never assisted in the overthrow of the taliban, but "in extending Iran's influence contributed vastly to Hezbollah and the hundreds of people killed in that conflict and the one with Israel, the murderous regime in Syria, the 1000s killed in Iraq, Yemen etc etc. The world is a vastly better place without him.
