It's common knowledge among zoo workers that faeces
throwing amongst monkeys is very common. They get even
more aggressive and frustrated if they're ignored.
They may even resort to trying to rip their cages apart.

With that in mind - I think it best if I do leave this
thread because I simply don't want to continue to
encourage their frustration and bad behaviour. I can see
now that monkeys are not capable of getting the message
and it was silly of me to think that they could.

Monkeys will remain monkeys.
