A Christian minister who is vehemently anti-gay at the pulpit can go off and secretly solicit young men in a night club and remain perfectly within the law. It would not be the job of the police to expose the hypocrisy but one might argue it is the role of the fourth estate.

There are protections in place and they are called defamation laws. If One Nation or any of the individuals involved feel they have been egregiously misrepresented then they can start proceedings. No sign of that as yet so I suspect Al Jeezera were pretty well on the money.

The very few times I watch ABC interviews I find they they're not reporting at all, they're simply pushing & arguing their opinion !
