Decency and parliamentary dignity require the honourable Hasbeen to withdraw to the sinbin :
"The UN has thus declared war on Trump, & through him their major benefactor the US people. Obviously Trump must defund the UN, declare it is an illegal organisation, & confiscate it's US property. He then must then defend the US border at all & any cost. There is no doubt this is an invasion, sponsored by the UN to get their one world government up & running. Dear Philip S,
Who are these 'organisers'? And please don't say Soros. As to the aid given the Mexican people have been exceedingly generous while Trump slashes aid to south American countries he accuses of not containing their populations. Apparently they should have armed forces on their borders keeping these people in. http://www.azcentral.com/story/news/politics/border-issues/2018/10/30/migrant-caravan-gets-shelter-support-mexicos-political-left/1820976002/ Look I really don't know why you are so determined not to cut these poor unfortunate people some slack. The best you seem to manage is feeling a bit sorry for them for being duped by these shadowy organisers. They are not going to walk to Australia so a how about setting aside your fears and showing some humanity. Posted by SteeleRedux, Tuesday, 4 December 2018 9:20:32 AM

SteeleRedux Quote "but your slip is still showing none the less" It could be said your bias is creeping into the discussion.
You write "Who are these 'organisers'? And please don't say Soros." How do you know it is not Soros, I don't know at the moment if it is him time will tell but it is the sort of thing he has financed in the past. Quote "Look I really don't know why you are so determined not to cut these poor unfortunate people some slack." I thought that was plainly obvious in my comment above. Here it is again. This point plays a big part in the wording of my comments. Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto offered shelter, medical attention, schooling, jobs to Central Americans traveling in a caravan through his country, calling it a first step toward permanent refugee status. Authorities said more than 1,700 had already applied for refugee status. But several thousand turned down Nieto's offer, continuing their march to the US border. They rejected that offer which now makes them economic migrants looking for who will ultimately give them the most. Refugees okay, economic invaders and welfare for lifers NO WAY. Quote "They are not going to walk to Australia so a how about setting aside your fears and showing some humanity." I reply to that with the following. They have no compassion for the taxpayers they inflict themselves on, no matter what country that is Australia, America, Sweden, Germany etc. Posted by Philip S, Tuesday, 4 December 2018 1:21:12 PM

"More than 11,000 foreign guest workers were approved last year to harvest the lettuce, fruit and vegetables for California’s $47-billion agricultural industry — a fivefold increase from 2011, according to Los Angeles Times analysis of U.S. Labor Department data. If this year’s hiring pace holds, that number will soar even higher."
The UN organises California's agriculture as the illiterate gold-miners and hill-billy farmers can't. Posted by nicknamenick, Tuesday, 4 December 2018 2:25:32 PM

Dear Philip S,
Perhaps you could go and read articles which do not confirm your own bias. These “caravans” have been making their way to the US from Central American states for years. They do it openly because of the protection it offers families who would normally be victims of robbery, rape and sexual slavery from those who had been prepared to prey on these vulnerable people. Figures from 2012-13 spoke of up to 80% of females suffering sexual assault during the journey when attempted in secret. Nor have the migrant figures radically increased. Obama deported nearly 440,000 persons in 2015. Current projections have the rate well below that this year. What is different this time was that Trump had some mid-term elections he was trying to win so a campaign of fear and loathing was the order of the day. So just to be clear on what you are contending, are you saying that Soros has organised and funded literally millions of South Americans to make the journy to the US border? Or are you just laying the current caravan at his doorstep? There is no doubt he contributes to various aid agencies some of whom are involved in providing food and water to refugees as does USAID. But there is absolutely no evidence of these people receiving funding to start their journey. As to your post. The caveat in Mexico's offer is it "is only for those who fulfill Mexican laws". According to Pueblo Sin Frontera 80% of those who register are eventually deported by Mexico. As humans these people certainly have a right to escape poverty, violence and corruption in their home countries. As a country the US certainly has a right to orderly process those who reach its borders and reject those who it deems are not eligible to seek entry. What has been shameful is the way their plight has been so politicised, you attempt the same. To speak of those in such dire state as needing to be mindful of what they "inflict" on "taxpayers" is of course lacking in compassion. Posted by SteeleRedux, Tuesday, 4 December 2018 3:21:43 PM

** All the people in the article rejected that offer. **
I believe the organizers manipulated the people for whatever reason,
When you look down the page at the photos, that were taken in a setup camp. (conditions are appalling)The conditions must have been worse moving that camp every day.
Look at the photos with people like the woman and 5 yo child supposedly on the road for 5 months do you honestly think she walked 100's of KM's I don't.
The logistics that would have been needed could not have been done by a local group of concerned citizens.
Just the water bill alone was estimated at $800,000, add food, doctors, transport etc for sick people there are photos of large groups on semitrailers.
It was a stunt with poor desperate people as guinea pigs, the organizers would have known Trump would in no way let thousand of people cross into America.
Revulsion should be directed at the organizers, who don't appear to be helping them much now.
