With the Shooters and Hooters Party demanding unrestricted access to National Parks for the motorised Rambo's, claiming they represent these people as the Hooters in the party, and a look at the party policy does reveal they do indeed want unrestricted access for motorised hoons, the so called 4X4 "enthusiasts", into National Parks.

As four wheel drives become more affordable, more of these "enthusiasts" are illegally entering National Parks and causing substantial damage. In one case, but not isolated, the Queensland Government is to install cameras in the Samford Conservation Park in an attempt to stop 4X4 hooning which has been on a steady increase within the park. Between their demands for unrestricted shooting, and unrestricted 4X4 driving in our ecologically sensitive areas, if given their way, the Shooters and Hooters would destroy these national treasures in no time.

"We don’t want our favourite activity curtailed by bureaucrats and tree huggers." A quote about hooning, there is also a video clip of one of their mob hooning in a National Park, its on the MR4X4.com.au web site.

Bit surprised to see local forest home to bikers trails, even using old pallets to create obstacles.
Reforming old tracks and building new ones just wondering who pays if any one is hurt

On Cape York we get the southern tourists who think they're the only ones on the track. You drive along and, swoosh-there's another 4x4 with a tourist behind the wheel coming around the bend on the wrong side of the road. Some drive so fast that the trailers swing onto the oncoming vehicle's lane. There are stark reminders beside the track to slow some of them down at times.

You see it in Woolies Parks where the big rig sedans push into your park-space , the hungry hoons.
