Last week Australia joined the US and Israel as the only three countries at the UN to vote against the Palestinians taking a turn at chairing the G77 group of developing countries.

This country used to know what an underdog looked like. We were prepared to do the right thing, to stand on even a small margin of principle, to see justice done.

We understood the relationship the US had with Israel was unique which meant American employed its veto to aid it when the world was demanding it be held to proper account for its actions.

But Australia had no such relationship and we either voted with the rest of the world or abstained on questions of Israel.

This was a turning point. Whether it was to protect us from steel tariffs by the US or just a general further cosying up to the Trump administration we just rightly lost a whole heap of respect from the global community.

We really don't stand for much nowadays do we.

Consistency and stability is a financial rule: Manus / Nauru/ Jerusalem embassy/ bulldozer diplomacy.

It is amazing, but gratifying, that Australia had the guts to stand stand with the U.S and Israel in shunning Palestinian terrorists. As “only three countries”, they have shamed all the other gutless wonders, who are they real “lap dogs” and sycophants to the increasing evil and dictatorial United Nations, which outlived its usefulness decades ago.

There is no such country as Palestinian. Surely you do understand that only countries can chair the G77 group.

In fact it is only because so many tin pot US hating countries are members of the UN, the most corrupt organisation yet developed by man, that a non country actually has membership.
