What does the word 'communion' in the USAF mean please? Perhaps it should read 'commission'?

" our very own 'Pig Iron' Bob Menzies, founder of the Liberal Party, ....was duped by Hitler and fascism into thinking it was all a great idea."

I've explained to Paul previously while that's a load of rubbish (both the pig iron lie and that menzies thought fascism was great).

But Paul appears to be enveloped in a deflector shield that doesn't allow any unwanted facts to penetrate. I'd try again but I don't think Paul's shields are ever down.

Paul,

"On July 28, 1944, during a P-38 bomber escort mission with the 433rd Fighter Squadron in the Ceram area, Lindbergh shot down a Sonia observation plane piloted by Captain Saburo Shimada, commanding officer of the 73rd Independent Chutai."
This was after a furious dogfight, the "Sonia" was out-classed by the P38 but your rather dismissive
" Clearly Lindbergh was a bigoted racists, even if he did shoot down a Jap observation plane, flying as a civilian."

The "Sonia" was an armed fighter even though its primary role was observation, you do justice to neither Lindberg nor his opponent, the brave Captain Saburo Shimada, who, by all accounts was no mean fighter pilot.
How was Lindberg a bigoted racist(s)?

Hi Issy,

"the brave Captain Saburo Shimada, who, by all accounts was no mean fighter pilot"

Now, if you could just put up a link showing that Captain Saburo Shimada's war record. And a little reference to his feats of bravery would not be nice as well. Once we sort that out we should be able to move ahead on this.

Charles Lindbergh, who, by all accounts was a bigoted racists.

p/s Do do you know much about Colonel Custer I was thinking of starting a thread. The bloke got the short end of the stick when it comes to his millinery record.

Paul,

I've studied Custer and his times to some extent but I don't know anything about his business interests in the rag trade.

Just Google " Captain Saburo Shimada" and a lot comes up.

That's what I wanted to talk about, there has been lot of discussion about Colonel Custer and his military record. However there is very little about Colonel Custer and his millinery record, in fact nothing at all. I do believe when he wasn't shooting Indians he was at home sowing.
Since you know so much about Limburger, I thought we could talk cheese some time.

Captain Saburo Shimada nothing on his war record. You said he was brave, where is the evidence I asked for.

Your doing well so far.
