My 58 year old son has been diagnosed with a very malignant brain tumour.
He was operated on but they could not remove it all. Since then it has rapidly regrown and he has been given only a short time to live.
He has lost the use of his legs and behaves irrationally at times.
For years now he has been addicted to diet Cola and drinks about five or more a day.
I did some research and found that there is quite strong evidence that the Aspartame in diet Cola drinks can cause bad side effects including brain tumours.
I cannot say for sure that it was the Aspartame that caused his tumour but I suspect there is a link.
Now I discover that President Trump drinks around a dozen diet Cokes a day.
This must be a worry to the American people now he is in a position of such authority.
I hope that he either gives up the sugar drink or gives up the presidency very soon.

Robert one thing you may not be taking into account, not everyone is effected by the same things.

Some people eat peanuts and can die or go into shock others don't.

Some people eat lots of junk food and get fat others don't.

Some people drink or eat things that give them diabetes while other are not effected.

Sorry about your son, but there is no evidence that his "addiction" to Coke has anything whatever to with his cancer. Did health professionals suggest it might? Or are you relying on your own "research"?

I am also amazed that you could go from what must be a tragedy for you to remarking on hearsay and suggesting that Trump might be affected by drinking Coke - if indeed he does to the extent hearsay has it. The tales about Trump have reached the hysterical. Not the sort of rubbish I would have thought anyone would muddy the possible terminal condition of a loved one with.

Dear Robert,

I am so sorry to hear about your son.

Mine also drinks diet coke. And it is a concern.

I used to drink it myself until my heart
specialist banned it.
In my case there was a link between diet coke and
my atrial fibrilation (heart palpitations). I've been
diagnosed with pulmonary hypertension. I've totally
given up diet coke.

Thank You for taking the time to share your news with
us and for your concern about others.

I wish you and your family all the best.

My prayers go with you.

sorry to hear Robert. I lost a brother to a brain tumour in his 40's. He drank a fair bit of beer but never drank diet soft drinks as far as I know. Bit of a cheap shot re Trump.

There are eight cancers scientifically attributed to alcohol, not to mention its effect on the brain. As far as I am aware, there is no link between cancer and soft drinks. Obesity seems to be the main concern.
