If 'socialism' is a carefully crafted plan by the elite, one that puts all the wealth and control in their hands, isn't that a capitalist conspiracy to take over the world but to deflect the attention of the ordinary people from what's really happening (oligarchic capitalism) by creating socialism as a scapegoat?
So if you focus on the 'evils' of socialism and progressivism, haven't you been conned by the elite?

Yes we all know how well the banking industry and bankers in general did following the socialist takeover in Russia in 1917.

And of coarse the bankers are really whooping it up in Venezuela these days.

Those who don't understand the world, how the current system works, how we got here and just wish it were different are want to seek after simple solutions and one dimensional explanations. It makes it easier for them to grapple with those things that don't make sense to them. T'was always thus.

The lines between socialism and capitalism have become blurred since the elitist Left got a a taste for money. The Green/Labor alliance is no longer interested in the working class, but in their own personal financial enrichment. The 'wonderful, caring' di Natale has even been pinged for exploiting his domestic employees. We are moving towards the old Soviet and Chinese form of socialism, where the few elites will have everything, and the rest of us will have nothing.

The Soviet of French royals owned more of USA in 1750 than the Peoples' republic of Bank of England . The peasants from the Paris stock exchanges made hostile bids for the Bastille casino , sending Gestapo gays to enslave the struggle street Louis XVI and his drug mule Marie "the cake" Antoinette. Bells rang as the trading guillotine came down .
