Religion is a socialist concept.

"Religion is a socialist concept."
Not necessarily, Dan. The Uniting Church certainly. Some sections of the Anglican denomination; but, generally, religions are conservative. What is happening, though, is that some, like the above-mentioned, are big mouths, attracting attention. Their brand of Christianity has become so much like the rest of society as to be a sham. Yep, I need to expand on my curt comment above. Religion at its heart, has a care and concern for the society in which it operates. It is socially-centric. That is the concept of Socialism; all inclusive. Socialism at heart, is a positive concept, but like so many other “isms”, it becomes harnessed by radical elements, to be driven in a particular direction, resulting in narrow achievements: Exactly like Democracy, which is now farcical. I'm doing some research into the Jonestown Massacre in Guyana 1978. It was a socialist movement driven by religious ethic, that ended in total tragedy, with the murder/suicide of nine hundred odd adherents, I'm sure you'd remember. I'm currently wading through a huge volume on the subject, written by Jeff Guinn. “The road to Jonestown”. The relevance of the Jonestown Massacre to the modern time, is its similarity to modern Western society, loss of moral direction. Jones was a modernist socialist preacher, with an effective social outreach into black American slums, (on the one hand). But underneath was a drug dependent homosexual, with insatiable sexual appetite, extending into abuse of his female adherents. Since we now have homosexuality preached from the secularist school pulpit, Jonestown will soon be the World. It will be religion of one sort or another, picking up the pieces that are left of our trashed society. I think it will be Islam. It has the ability. Islam has no sympathy for Western culture, for obvious reasons. A war with a Islam, will be one the homosexual activists will not win Posted by diver dan, Friday, 1 December 2017 9:34:54 AM

Socialist = gay= Church ?
Basilica means "king" as in the 3 crowned Pope, father of kings , governor of the world and vicar of Christ the king. Dalai Lama is god-king of Tibet . “ Greeks after the fall of Constantinople in 1453 placed the crown of the emperors, who no longer existed, on the head its ecumenical patriarch,. Gradually the patriarch of Constantinople passed the crown-shaped mitre down to other Greek bishops." This includes the crowned Russian Orthodox Patriarch Kirill: "the "Tobacco Metropolitan", a billionaire and a former KGB operative, who made his fortune in tobacco, alcohol, and oil sales. . The new Orthodox leader is fond of playing with stocks, car racing, downhill skiing, and breeding exclusive kinds of dogs. He owns villas in Switzerland and a penthouse with a view of the Cathedral of Christ the Savior in Moscow." Posted by nicknamenick, Friday, 1 December 2017 9:53:35 AM

One of the main aims of Marxist/feminist is to destroy the natural family. By promoting and legislating immorality it makes them feel more at ease with their own choices and able to push their psuedo morals with pseudo science. Just look at those sprouting the man made gw nonsense and defending Islam.

If 'socialism' is a carefully crafted plan by the elite, one that puts all the wealth and control in their hands, isn't that a capitalist conspiracy to take over the world but to deflect the attention of the ordinary people from what's really happening (oligarchic capitalism) by creating socialism as a scapegoat?
So if you focus on the 'evils' of socialism and progressivism, haven't you been conned by the elite? Posted by Cossomby, Friday, 1 December 2017 12:16:44 PM

Yes we all know how well the banking industry and bankers in general did following the socialist takeover in Russia in 1917.
And of coarse the bankers are really whooping it up in Venezuela these days. Bankers conspiracy - struth!. Those who don't understand the world, how the current system works, how we got here and just wish it were different are want to seek after simple solutions and one dimensional explanations. It makes it easier for them to grapple with those things that don't make sense to them. T'was always thus. Posted by mhaze, Friday, 1 December 2017 12:55:56 PM

The lines between socialism and capitalism have become blurred since the elitist Left got a a taste for money. The Green/Labor alliance is no longer interested in the working class, but in their own personal financial enrichment. The 'wonderful, caring' di Natale has even been pinged for exploiting his domestic employees. We are moving towards the old Soviet and Chinese form of socialism, where the few elites will have everything, and the rest of us will have nothing.

The Soviet of French royals owned more of USA in 1750 than the Peoples' republic of Bank of England . The peasants from the Paris stock exchanges made hostile bids for the Bastille casino , sending Gestapo gays to enslave the struggle street Louis XVI and his drug mule Marie "the cake" Antoinette. Bells rang as the trading guillotine came down .

Hi everyone,
Thanks for all your comments. I haven't actually figured out how I should respond or what I should add to the conversation just yet. I do have an article on Venezuela however that mhaze might find interesting. http://landdestroyer.blogspot.com.au/2017/07/us-regime-change-in-venezuela-truth-is.html Posted by Armchair Critic, Friday, 1 December 2017 3:20:43 PM

diver dan "Religion is a socialist concept."
Wrong. One's soul's relationship to the Divine is utterly personal and individual. You cannot be collectively saved or enlightened. "A war with a Islam, will be one the homosexual activists will not win" They wouldn't be fighting alone. Since militant Muslims would define all non-Muslims (and even some Muslims!) as the enemy, a war with Muslims would involve all non-Muslims. It is a war *they* cannot win. The only, eternal war is not between good and evil, but between the honest and the dishonest. All utopian, idealist religious and political agendas are the latter. Which is why they cause so much trouble. Posted by Shockadelic, Friday, 1 December 2017 9:24:57 PM

The denigration of the Soviet Union and Communists China as examples of the failure of Socialism to be a positive system of government for a modern nation such as Australia is totally erroneous. Detractors fail to take into account the extremely horrific circumstances both Russia and China found themselves in immediately before the revolutions which led to the implementation of quasi Communist regimes in both countries. Those extreme examples of state control are no more valid that the use of the post industrial revolution period in Europe in the nineteenth century, or the time of the Great Depression of the 1930's as examples of the failure of Capitalism to deliver true economic benefit to the majority.
What does work in a stable economic environment, free of social and political upheaval, is a democratic mix of the best aspects of progressive Socialism and responsible Capitalism. The economic arguments concerning wealth distribution in Australia centre around the implantation of moderate political policy, and as how best reasonable wealth distribution should be achieved, not should it be achieved at all. No major political party in Australia argues at the extremes, total government control, or no state intervention at all. Australia is not perfect, but it is closer than most. It's been a while but when Aboriginals had free , fair distribution the pharaohs built pyramids by total god-king control. Rome had the same elitism as did medieval feudal church control of estates and of lawyers. Find Egyptian DNA in Roman banking and it's solved.

*…You cannot be collectively saved or enlightened…* That is so spiritually. But I talk of the religious institution. Particularly Christianity: But not confined to Christianity alone. It is a collective of like minds, watching over the collective welfare of the flock. Socialism! *…"A war with a Islam, will be one the homosexual activists will not win"…* Give me an example where in the past, the “rainbow-jackboot” has dared to encroach on the Muslim Parade. *…They wouldn't be fighting alone…* Not at all. There are plenty engaged in the march away from Christianity, willing to re-engage with a religion sharing the same God, and demonstrating a Christian morality. *…It is a war *they* cannot win…* How can an eternal war be lost? *…honest and the dishonest…* Exactly, good and evil! Hi Paul1405,
The book itself 'None Dare Call it Conspiracy' actually refers to 'Communism' as being a conspiracy of Western elites. In regards to your comment on the Great Depression being failures of Capitalism, I want you to consider a section of the above mentioned book in Chapter 2 which discusses whether things actually happen by accident or by design. http://modernhistoryproject.org/mhp?Article=NoneDare&C=1.0 But going further; you all know I'm against a Globalist One World Government / New World Order, with their slow incremental move to the left to impose Socialism and then Communism upon the masses. The Communist Manifesto is the path devised (not by Marx) but by Adam Weishaupt and Rothchild of the Bavarian Illuminati; this is what the book alleges. Now the problem for me; being that I'm against this Global Government is that I do actually support your stance on this: "What does work in a stable economic environment, free of social and political upheaval, is a democratic mix of the best aspects of progressive Socialism and responsible Capitalism." You may remember that I myself proposed and often speak about a 'Socialist Base-Level Employment Scheme'. Not because I want to destroy Capitalism, but because I want to strengthen it. - The Job You Have When You Don't Have a Job - To create a culture of employment within the ranks of the unemployed and to remove the 'I can't get a job' excuse. Double Dole Payment in exchange for full-time work; Doing things that help the government to save money. So I'm for refining the best 'type' of government that would best benefit the people, but I'm opposed to the slow slide towards the Global Government and New World Order that the book suggests the globalist elites want. The 10 Planks of the Communist Manifesto.
1. Abolition of private property in land and application of all rents of land to public purpose. 2. A heavy progressive or graduated income tax. 3. Abolition of all rights of inheritance. 4. Confiscation of the property of all emigrants and rebels. 5. Centralization of credit in the hands of the state, by means of a national bank with state capital and an exclusive monopoly. 6. Centralization of the means of communication and transportation in the hands of the state. 7. Extension of factories and instruments of production owned by the state; the bringing into cultivation of waste lands, and the improvement of the soil generally in accordance with a common plan. 8. Equal obligation of all to work. Establishment of Industrial armies, especially for agriculture. 9. Combination of agriculture with manufacturing industries; gradual abolition of the distinction between town and country by a more equable distribution of the population over the country. 10. Free education for all children in government schools. Abolition of children's factory labor in its present form. Combination of education with industrial production, etc. Posted by Armchair Critic, Saturday, 2 December 2017 10:40:15 AM

Hi Armchair,
I had a look at that Venezuela article you linked to, and I have to say it's extremely inaccurate. It, and indeed the entire site, seems to spin and cherry pick evidence to suit its antiAmerican bias. American meddling in Venezuela is well known, but it is NOT the cause of this year's crisis. There were three main causes of that: • The Chávez government had implemented a very anti-business form of socialism, so their economy was in deep trouble by the time Maduro took over. • The Maduro government kept the Bolivar at a fixed exchange rate against the US dollar even when the price of oil (Venezuela's main export) halved. And though the Bolivar's real value has collapsed, the government failed to reduce its official value so exporting remained very difficult. • The socialists subsequently lost control of the legislature. But the government, with a compliant judiciary, stripped the legislature of all its powers. And they cracked down on the widespread protests. And since the biased article you've linked to was written, they've continued to persecute anyone who's expressed opposition, and they've installed a new legislature that's at best semidemocratic, and more likely pseudodemocratic as there appeared to be systematic electoral fraud. Hi Aiden,
I can't say that I know geopolitics in Venezuela all that well, but I'm pretty aware of the types of things the US does to promote putting their own people in power. Fund the opposition, ferment civil unrest, and initiate mass protests. Push the regime to get a reaction in front of media that shows the government in a terrible light, and force the government to crackdown on so-called free press, which is acting in support of the regime change. Then after the government cracks down on the (so-called) free press, the same free press argues that the incumbent government is acting undemocratically, and push the idea that the leader is a dictator attacking his own people (which probably aren't actually his people, but foreign paid provocateurs. It's a bloody play-book right? So I admit I don't know Geopolitics in Venezuela real well, but the first two articles I found seem to look like my first article posted seemed valid enough, though I'm not sure if I am. I'll have to look into it more. First article I found. http://www.nytimes.com/2017/11/09/world/americas/venezuela-maduro-us-sanctions.html Second Article I found. http://www.globalresearch.ca/whats-really-happening-in-venezuela-from-someone-who-knows/5604010 Now I don't know for certain, but it looks like the same old US playbook to me. This news article might interest you, since Venezuela has the worlds largest oil reserves. http://www.reuters.com/article/us-venezuela-economy/enter-the-petro-venezuela-to-launch-oil-backed-cryptocurrency-idUSKBN1DX0SQ Posted by Armchair Critic, Monday, 4 December 2017 12:51:38 PM

Armchair Critic.
The blaming of America for the failure of countries and their leaders is wearing a bit thin. I don't deny that America has been guilty of underhanded interference in some countries but a lot of the crazy leaders and uneducated people in the world bear a lot of responsibility for the failure of their societies today. They are quite capable of causing all the violence and mayhem all by themselves. It's laughable that America is getting all pious about Russia's interference in Americas election given Americas reputation for doing the same thing. I do think that, all systems, be they communist,, socialist or capitalist are eventually taken over by a ruling elite, who make sure a lot of the wealth is channeled into their own pockets. Being able to vote in honest elections maybe has a degree of protection for the working and middle class masses, but in the end it still doesn't prevent the wealthy from creating a monopoly that favours the corporations and political classes. The wealthy faceless people who Run world banks and the world through their monetary power are no longer just rich white men. They Include, wealthy Chinese, Japanese, Saudi kings and princes, and some very wealthy Indian families. So America does not have a monopoly on underhand tactics to disenfranchise the rest of the worlds masses anymore. The wealthy from all nations are involved. The topic of conspiracy theories invites plenty of ridicule and skepticism.
I started reading a short online book yesterday, and feel it's contents are so notable that it was worthy of sharing and further discussion.
I was able to get through half the books chapters in about an hour.
The book itself not only makes light of the fact that socialism is not a movement of the downtrodden, but a carefully crafted plan by the elite, one that puts all the wealth and control in their hands; but it goes into detail of how these things all came about.
I believe the information in this book is more important now than ever.
It explains the real reasoning behind the progressive and socialist ideology that we see all around us.
The book is called 'None Dare Call it Conspiracy' - The plan of the international bankers to create a world socialist super-state
-- by: Gary Allen and Larry Abraham, 1971
http://modernhistoryproject.org/mhp?Article=NoneDare
I hope others will read this book, discuss it's contents and share it with others.
There's a reason why things around us are happening in the way they are.
