Barry O'Farrell's controversial, vindictive and absolutely unnecessary Ammunition Bill is to be repealed.

This Bill, which wasted public money and caused unnecessary inconvenience, is shortly to be consigned to the oblivion it so richly deserves, perhaps a bottle of "O'Farrell's Downfall" would be appropriate to toast its farewell.

Sufficient time seems to have elapsed to conclude that everyone is in agreement that getting rid of this piece of stupid legislation is a good idea.

There have also been significant changes to the Firearms Act that were well overdue.

Yeah Issy, there is so much interest in your thread, the only reply you got was from yourself. LOL. About as popular as that book of yours, what was its name, oh! yes 'Road Kill Recipes for the Failed Hunter' I particularly enjoyed the 'Shish Kabobed Squashed Raccoon' served with a tangy 'Rhinoceros Piss Sauce', 5 stars.

"Yeah Issy, there is so much interest in your thread, the only reply you got was from yourself"

Wrong, Paul, there are three replies; the last one from your good self.

I knew that you couldn't resist, and from what you said previously, on evidence based legislation, I'm not surprised that you support the Bill's demise.

Sorry Issy you're wrong again, but what's new in that, when I typed <<the only reply you got was from yourself. LOL>> I had not actually posted my reply, you had only one reply, you had been talking to yourself.

I opened the Shooters, Hooters and Rooters Party link on this "Ammo Bill" I should have known I was entering the world of the fruity loonies, when the first thing to catch my eye was a pic of that Booby Bob Borsak dress in army fatigues, (what war did he fight in) looking more like a reject from a Rambo movie than anything else, sporting his trusty elephant killing blunderbuss! What a Wally!

To quote this Booby Bob “[This bill aims] to remove the requirement for a firearms dealer to record the address of a person to whom or from whom ammunition is supplied or acquired.”

Issy, from the above I assume, you're not interested in how much ammo the likes of Ivan Milat is purchasing. Good for you, but I am.

Rest assured that the rescinding of the bill makes not a wit of difference to the amount of ammo that can be purchased, the big difference that it makes is in security.
The security that was is a part of the fact that ones' address is not on a Shooters License, one's home address is confidential between the Police Department and one's self.

O'Farrell and his minions somehow saw fit to dispense with this security measure.

The ammo bill was not evidence bases but based on emotion, and you are on record, Paul, as being in favour of evidence based legislation.
