"ones' address is not on a Shooters License, one's home address is confidential between the Police Department and one's self."
Then why is ones address on ones Driving Licence? What do shooters have to hide? At the time the police supported the legislation.

Paul,

Firearms are required to be kept under lock and key (or keypad) and require greater security than cars, surely you understand that?

How about that evidence based legislation?

"A gunman who fatally shot a senior constable in Queensland's Lockyer Valley had "a grievance against police" and was firing a high-powered gun at specialist officers when he was killed in a shootout, senior police say."

On Monday, in a most unfortunate occurrence Senior Constable Brett Forte of the Queensland Police was fatally shot by gunman Rick Maddison,

Paul,
Given the context of this thread are you up to the usual Green tactic of trying to make political capital out of yet another tragedy?

Paul1405,

I am expressing my utter disgust at your post that seeks to score shabby political points out of the killing of a dedicated and heroic police officer. That is the lowest of the low.

You should apologise unreservedly and seek immediate retraction with the cooperation of the moderator/s.

We should all expect to return home safe to the arms of our loving family at the end of our day or shift and after doing our duty.

R.I.P Queensland officer Brett Forte. My heart-felt condolences to family, friends and other officers. Another lost life from the Gold Coast.

<Brett Forte: Best friend pays tribute to Queensland Police officer shot dead

Senior Constable Forte, a father-of-three, was gunned down west of Brisbane near Gatton by a man who would later be killed by police after a lengthy siege.

Mr Coventon used many words to describe his friend, among them funny, loyal, caring and strong.

"He made you feel good," Mr Coventon said.

"I think a lot of people would view Brett as their best friend, although he might not know that. He was just that sort of bloke where everyone loved him.
"I think that they would be as devastated as I am."

Since Monday afternoon, tributes have been pouring in for Senior Constable Forte, an officer of 15 years who was working with the Toowoomba tactical unit and had previous stints at Cunnamulla and Chinchilla.

Mr Coventon said Senior Constable Forte loved serving his community.>
