All that proves is that the George Soros inspired 'gun control' laws do not deter nor prevent criminals from illegally obtaining and using firearms.
The fact remains that Greens and 'Progressives': - are soft on criminals, particularly the ethnic bikie gangs that deal in drugs and are creating mayhem with drive-by shootings in western Sydney and elsewhere - are forever talking up and boosting criminals' rights and do not accord victims of crime and the law-abiding public anywhere near the same consideration or rights and - Labor, Greens and other 'Progressive' (regressive) elements roll logs in the road of any police initiative to protect the public, particularly school children from drug traffickers. ..Another example, where that mindless Greens headline-hunting showboat Shoebridge opposed drug dogs that were to deter the thousands of drug deals being done openly in public places and especially at music festivals and night spots where young people gather. Crates of arms are imported from overseas. It doesn't suit SteeleRedux, 'who once owned guns', from admitting it. Posted by leoj, Sunday, 26 March 2017 8:55:41 PM

Hear, hear, Steele spot on again.
Under his previous pseudonym of OTB, Leoj advocated an armed privately trained citizens militia to administer the "law" where the command felt it necessary. These good citizens were to receive their training through fronts masquerading as gun clubs, real Dodge City stuff, as Leoj do you still hold with that guff? The above gels with his unsubstantiated, rabid claims, that progressive Labor and Greens are "soft" on crime. If soft means shoot first and ask no questions later, I would have to agree. Steele,
"What pisses me off are those going out and buying guns just because they think it is their god given right. With the industry they've lobbied and cajoled politicians into diluting laws and spitting into the faces of what most Australians want for our country, one without US style gun crime, one where a father can take his family to a tourist attraction without a nutter blowing them away" Reference please, which laws have been watered down? "Through your so called hobby you wannabes are supplying our crooks with hundreds of guns. Every death caused by those thieved weapons are on your heads" and every person whose car is stolen is responsible for any deaths or damage caused by that car. We could carry your 'logic' further but it'd be rather boring. On origin of weapons, see: http://www.abc.net.au/news/2015-05-26/source-of-illicit-guns-in-australia/6483762 Posted by Is Mise, Monday, 27 March 2017 7:59:03 AM

"MORE than one gun a day is lost or stolen in SA, prompting calls for a crackdown on “irresponsible” owners amid fears the weapons are falling into criminal hands."
"The Advertiser can reveal that 2294 guns have been reported as missing in the past four years" From the SA Advertiser 11th April 2016. The ratbag not so liberal, not so democratic Senator David Leyonhjelm has said gun control laws have already gone too far. Leyonhjelm has tried several times to trade his senate vote to the Turnbull Governement in return for watered down gun laws. In NSW the two Shooters Party LC members are always trying to negotiate softer gun laws from the Coalition Government in return for their support in the upper house Posted by Paul1405, Monday, 27 March 2017 9:37:33 AM

Dear Is Mise,
Don't be a dingbat. There is a vast difference between a car used by criminals in a getaway compared to a lethal weapon in their hands. As to firearm rules being eroded in NSW the 28 day waiting period has been abolished for anyone wishing to purchase the same type of firearm to one they have already registered, regard-less of their criminal record or mental state. There is no longer the requirement to show just cause for owning extra firearms. The number of firearms stolen nationally in 2013-14 was 2901. The following year it had risen to 3524. That is a jump of 20% in a single year and there is no indication it is slowing. So an extra 6000 weapons now circulating in the criminal classes in Australia from just 2 years. The crazy thing is it is people like you who will now try and make the case for more firearms to protect us from the increase in armed criminals that your hobby has created. As I said a bloody lot irresponsible, second amendment wannabe tossers. Posted by SteeleRedux, Monday, 27 March 2017 10:15:11 AM

What rot.
The vast majority are stolen from farms, houses and businesses where lackadaisical security is shoveling weaponry into the hands of those who would do us harm and I'm bloody sick of it.
From just last week;
“Police said 130 handguns including revolvers and semi-automatics were stolen from Barry and Son Firearms in Beckenham on the night of March 11. The guns are valued at about $5,000 each on the black market, taking the total value of the stolen firearms to $650,000.”
http://www.abc.net.au/news/2017-03-22/handguns-stolen-from-beckenham-business-in-organised-heist/8377090
Or this one from January;
“Gun-toting masked thieves have made off with a number of hand guns after holding up a camping and hunting store in Melbourne's north around lunchtime. The thieves stormed the South Morang Hunting, Fishing and Camping store on Murdoch Road about 12.15pm on Tuesday.”
http://www.theage.com.au/victoria/guntoting-masked-thieves-steal-guns-from-south-morang-hunting-store-20170124-gtxsgw.html
Or just from storage lockers;
“The victim said numerous items were missing, including a .22-caliber pump rifle”
http://www.myleaderpaper.com/news/police_fire/gun-camping-equipment-more-stolen-from-storage-unit-at-a/article_385480dc-05f0-11e7-a332-cf5513c3d2eb.html
Or from peoples homes;
“GUN and knives were stolen from a Mirani home while the owners were away for work. There were three guns, ammunition and a collection of knives stolen from the Katey Cres, Mirani residence.”
https://www.dailymercury.com.au/news/guns-ammunition-and-knives-stolen-from-home/3130666/
This is just a small sample of gun thefts from this year alone.
I have owned a number of weapons in the past and I have no problem with farmers or those whose jobs involve firearms having weapons.
What pisses me off are those going out and buying guns just because they think it is their god given right. With the industry they've lobbied and cajoled politicians into diluting laws and spitting into the faces of what most Australians want for our country, one without US style gun crime, one where a father can take his family to a tourist attraction without a nutter blowing them away.
Through your so called hobby you wannabes are supplying our crooks with hundreds of guns.
Every death caused by those thieved weapons are on your heads.
Tossers.
