or have a sizable Muslim electorate,

Now that is something to worry about, it will not get better just worse.

the reason the leftist ignore some muslims hostility towards this nation is because they share it. Of course their true hatred is Christianity which largely has given them the prosperous lifestyles they have.

Runner,

You are right. The Left and Islam are ideally suited to each other; just as the Nazis and Islam cooperated during WW11. Muslims, the Left, Nazis, all tarred with the same undemocratic, fascist brush.

Dear o sung wu,

You wrote;

“I wonder why it is that you bear so much enmity toward BANJO and what he's said?”

Firstly mate I don't have much enmity toward Banjo at all. Others on this forum far better fit that description. Banjo really is pretty harmless and very predictable. He isn't flagging issues as they arise but rather sticking to a monthly timetable of raising some anti-Muslim story to beat his drum. It doesn't matter to him what story it is, or how much merit it might have, all that is important is that he rings the bell like clockwork. It is hard to respect someone who is that mechanical or that base or that single minded but he's not someone I waste enmity on.

In fact I really don't have much enmity toward any forum members. Those I consider complete tossers I just ignore and the rest I just work to shine a light on whatever they claim as a truth.

Perhaps my tone you mistake for enmity. Don't. I am employing the same tone doled out with such gusto from the resident right-wingers on this site. Historically not my usual style but it fits serves a purpose.

Shadow Minister is a case in point banging on unmercifully about the elites. Now I go out of my way to point out just how much the label fits him.

To the Muslim question. I have repeatedly called for an Australian boycott of Saudi Arabia on this forum but it has fallen on deaf ears. That nation is responsible for spreading a form of Islam that promotes fundamentalism, radicalisation, and terrorism. However much oil they have and however much it hurts us economically they need to be completely sidelined. No head of state visits, no sporting exchanges, no diplomatic ties, and no Australian troops on their soil.

All guys like Banjo want to do is slag off about refugees, make up idiotic stories about them taking over this country, and to stop helping anyone from Muslim regions impacted by war. They are picking on the most weak and vulnerable while not raising a finger against the most powerful. I don't know what you call it but to me that is just cowardly. That is why I stick the boot in on occasion. Indeed look at you conflating Sudanese gangs with Muslims while most of the refugees from that nation have been Christian.

I would halve our immigration quotas in a heart beat because I think as a nation we need a breather and to take stock. The rate of change is just too much for some people. But at the same time I would raise our refugee intake by 50%. I think most Australians take real pride in our country assisting those from war torn countries. At the moment this involves Middle Eastern and northern African nations but this can alter quickly.

I know this will not be a satisfactory answer for you but you did ask. Take it for what it is. I have tried to give a measured response to you but if you feel more inclined to duke it out we can travel that path too.

Hi there BAZZ...

These little electoral enclaves can be quite insidious in the way they evolve, and operate, seemingly with the tacit support of their local member of parliament. Who's keen to demonstrate his/her concern for their well being. thus ensuring their vote at the next election.

Though 98% of the Muslims within these enclaves are basically decent, hard working people, it's the remaining 2% that can cause problems, by covertly moving about the others, quietly sewing dissent and cultivating younger more impressionable Islamic kids, into achieving more noble causes for the Prophet. Just one stick of AN60, with nails, screws, or any old sharp metallic bits, adhered fast to the surfaces of the explosive will do it, then.....'glorious martyrdom'? It won't hurt they're told, it's so quick you know absolutely nothing. That's about right, AN60 has a high detonation rate of around 29,000FPS. Moreover your name will be forever ascribed as a Holy Warrior for the causes of Islam.

I wish I were wrong. This whole thing, just a mere figment of an old man's imagination.
