Dear paul1405,

'Age of Anger', seems like it would be a good read;

"Oklahoma City bomber Timothy McVeigh and World Trade Center bomber Ramzi Yousef became friends in the late 1990s, when the men were held in nearby cells at the federal supermax prison, outside Florence, Colo. After McVeigh was executed in 2001, Yousef said he’d never known “anyone in my life who has so similar a personality to my own as his.”"

Lego, our governments collectively, go from stuff up to stuff up only to be rewarded with a 'set for life' pension, it is truely bizar to say the least.

In the past decade or so we have seen doozies like the 'baby bonus', first home owners grant, the war we should never have become involved in, the insulation debarcle and the illegals debacle to name just a few, deplete our finacial resources beyond repair.

A for the indiginous waste fest, that is a joke beyond words.

I liken our governments to someone wanting to build a nice house. They engage the best draftsman, the best designers, then because of their lack of knoledge, and sheer arrogance, employ a useless builder that stuffs the project to the point where they have spent so much money, yet ended up with so little. My point being that all the best laid plans are worthless if you are incapable of implimenting and managing them.

This is pretty much the story of our lives and now, those who have contributed all their lives are being forced to fend for themselves simply because issues like illegals take precidence of their own position. It sucks!

Funny how everyone being equal and an individual goes out the window when money is
involved.

If everyone is an individual, then everyone should be entitled to centrelink payments
if they can show proof that they are actively looking for a job.

Suddenly you belong to a couple and are not entitled to your own independence moneywise as an individual.

I had an uncle in his 50s who lived with his elderly father. They were both entitled
to the single pension each.

But if you are married suddenly you are no longer an individual entitled to anything.

Also for every single mother, there is a single father. Not contributing nearly enough
in time or money to support their children. The mothers just about take on the whole
burden of raising and paying for the children themselves, while the husbands
are off with their new younger girlfriend who resents one dime being spent on the ex's children.

These single fathers are busy having kids to the new younger wife when they are not
even doing anything much, monetarily or in caring for the kids they already have.
They are conviently never available on their mobiles.

CHERFUL, surely seems like you are speaking from experience.

Firstly, the governments looks at singles differently because as a couple many of the expenses are shared, therefore the pension amount is less. So what many do is claim to be single, yet live in a relationship , although the likes of social media are catching up with some.

As for fathers abandoning their children, this is often caused through the mother wasting much of the funds he is paying, while others are just grubs. The baby bonus has a lot to do with causing this as well.

There are currently over 700,000 people unemployed in Australia and there are 181,000 job vacancies; do the math and single mums and disability pensioners who may be rorting the system pale into insignificance.

Is Mise, what also must be of concern to the dollar and cent brigade is the 2,400,000 old fogey Australians (National Commission of Audit) receiving an 'Aged Pension', and at a substantially higher rate than those layabouts on 'Newstart'. With the old folks living longer than ever, I roll my eyes on that one, medical science has a lot to answer for in that regard. These aged relics have no prospect of ever working, and yet still they are lapping it up with a life of luxury, well compared to the dole'ise that is! What is to be done?

Shock horror, what I have discovered is there's an epidemic of wastefulness among the geriatrics! What could it be you ask? BINGOISM that is what it is, make no mistake! Yes, unfortunately so many of the elderly are sadly, BINGOHOLICS, addicted to the high life of the game of BINGO. Some of the most seriously addicted are not content with such wastefulness on a Monday, by are doing the rounds of the BINGO DENS, five and six days a week. Some have even been known to partake in this disgusting addiction on the Lords day itself, do they have no shame?

Who is propagating and prospering from this insidious disease, its none other that those friendly old farts at your local RSL. Yes sad but true, our living war relics, fellas who served in the Peninsular Campaign, and the Napoleonic Wars, men who should know better. These guys are not simply contented to gouge the merge pittance of a payment from the dole'ies through the pokes, they are pocketing most of the old age pension payments, around $40,000,000 annually, in return they payout in trashy toasters, waffle irons and cheese boards at nothing else than the call of BINGO! If you are very quiet, around 10am this morning, outside any RSL in town or country, you will hear the unmistakable sounds of the taxpayers dosh being gobbled up, with the shrill call of: Number eleven!... legs eleven! followed by BINGO!

I have not mentioned the problems of the "Weekly Meat Raffle".
