Would voters want Australia with enough money, to pay off the Labor created $50 Billion debt; and build all the facilities and the roads urgently needed, with less taxes and 4% less on the dole.
It can be achieved by my elimination process and the formation of a democratically elected Federal Council as a Republic:-

TO BE ELIMINATED
All Political Parties and Independents.
Federal and State Backbenches sitting on both sides if the house while in session doing nothing.Federal,State elections and Bi-elections. Senate elections, salaries, pensions, perks and Double Dissolution elections. Savings= trillions of dollars.

Australia has 100's of political parties and a Senate. Divide the politically bigoted voters to all the above with the result of no major party, thus chaotic government ruining Australia.
The Alternative: - A government based on 2 simple principles. The principle of a committee and Local Councils, the majority of votes win.
A pre-requisite to be a Member of Parliament, an apprenticeship in Local Council must be served to get elected.
A democratically elected Federal Independent Council and States Councils and Local Councils.

All Councils in a Region elect the best Councillor. They will then elect the best Councillor who will meet other elected Councillors from every State Region. This group of Councillors will elect their State Premier, to form ratio of the Federal Council, that will consist only of PM and Ministers. The State will then elect enough Councillors to form the States’ Council. The Federal Council will elect the Prime Minister.
Benefits of this Government:-
Grass-roots problems direct to Federal Government. The Federal Council can vote out failed Ministers, they would return back to their State. The same to apply to the States’ Council. Councils can also have failed Ministers voted out.
Only one 4 yearly Local Council election.
More professional people wanting to help rule Australia must do an apprenticeship in a Local Council.

Australia cannot go forth and grow with these deadly costs. I need help from people with brains and money to take this idea further.

Argoon: just so that you know: one trillion is 1,000,000,000,000.

One trillions dollars is a lot of money, to put it in perspective the whole of Australia's yearly economy (GDP per year) is in the order of one trillion (it is acutally about 1.6 trilllion). In fact that whole of the planet's economy is about 100 trillion as a ballpark figure.

So do you really think that you will save "trillions" with your idea?

By-the-way: the cost of all politicians salaries/expenses/perks and their staff along with the cost of maintaining the electoral roll and holding elections (including the referendums we occasionally have) is insignificant compared to costs such as health and social security.

Argoon,

Wow. Isn't megalomania fun ?

What you describe is uncannily like the current structure of the Chinese Communist Party, and we know how democratic that is. As well, some of us suspect that its economic miracle has something of the Wizard of Oz about it. We'll see in a few years.

Yes, democracy is a pretty lousy, messy system but it beats whatever comes second. And the CCP model is a long way down the list.

Dear Argoon,

When China takes over running Australia it will fix all of these problems.

The Chinese are busy at the moment securing the South China Sea so you need to give them some extra time before they can make a move on Australia.
