Yesterday, apparently there was a brawl in Parramatta involving some 50 youths, yet no indication as to who they were or what caused the brawl.

Yesterday a poster here called Brock claimed that gangs of African and ME youths were roaming Melbourne, stealing and assaulting citizens.

Why are we not informed about these happenings?

Shades of cover ups like in Germany and other countries on NYE.

Remember the non disclosure of the perpetrators of assaults on Indian students. And the failure of the media to pass on warnings by police regarding the gang rapes in Sydney in 2000.

Dear Banjo,

Everybody has to turn a blind eye otherwise people will begin to question the whole idea of multiculturalism, which was only ever about promoting a rapidly expanding population aimed at increasing profits for large corporations and increasing tax revenue for State and Federal governments.

Toni,
I got both smh and Tele up this morning. The smh had nothing and the Tele just mentioned the brawl. Where is the information for readers, such as ethnicity and reasons for the brawl. Those involved would only be too willing to disclose this, between profanities.

It appears to be another instance of deliberate non disclosure. The public need to know so we can judge cohesion of various groups.

Groups of Sri Lankans have been known to brawl, so has Crouts and
Serbs, or was it lebs and anglos? Maybe it was Buddists and those Presberterians, who knows?

I also seem to recall various factions of muslims having a go at each other at times, shots fired and shops fire bombed. The religion of peace. But the police and media will let anglo Aussies get the blame, you bet.

Toni,
For someone who says we are informed, you seem to have scant knowledge. Nor did your links disclose anything of value.

I got ABC on line and google news at midday and there was nothing further there either. Any decent reporter would have had the nuts and bolts yesterday arrvo.

Dear Banjo,

I suspect that journalists have already been warned
"Don't name suspects in the media until charged or
found guilty."
Otherwise the case could be thrown out of court on
a pretext."

As for the police? It's plain that they're
not about to take sides. I don't think they're
allowed. They cannot guess or infer or
go on heresay. They can only testify on what they
experienced and saw.
Remember they are officers of the law
and they have to obey the law. Taking sides is a
no-no, no matter how much an officer may think the
crim is guilty and that he's from the Middle-East.
He could be wrong
