Let me start by saying I was sick of Labor and wanted to see them removed from Government. I couldn't stand Gillard and I didn't agree with their policies. My support for the Coalition was by default as the Greens or PUP were never in the picture for me. A sad state of affairs.

I wasn't fond of Tony Abbott but I did agree with scraping the carbon tax and stopping the boats.

What we've ended up with in Parliament is the mirror image of what we hoped would end. A Prime Minister who told lies just before the election, needlessly in this instance, the Opposition Leader being accused of negativity and another ineffective government.

The blame lays solely on the shoulders of Tony Abbott. He blew any chance of success the night before the election and has continued to alienate just about all walks of life in less than a year. The public never forgave Julia Gillard and they are not going to forgive Abbott.

The only hope the Coalition has is if the cabinet reshuffle starts with dumping the Leader. If Tony is honourable (that's a joke) and loves Australia as much as he claims he can prove it by falling on his sword.

So who would you like to see as leader Julie Bishop or Malcolm Turnbull?

In my opinion the head honchos are going to to have to get rid of Credlin and her marionette, Abbott. Whoever takes over will have to involve Cabinet far more and be skilful at delegation. This new leader and whoever runs the PM's office will have to cease overtly interfering every step of the way and promote unity.

However, I don't for a moment expect they'll toss Credlin or Abbott until the chips are well and truly down and it dawns on them that they really are looking down the barrel of a one term govt.

If they replace rabbott they will be pilloried, with their own words, for doing the exact same thing they criticised Labor for doing.

Secondly, and this feels so weird to say, tony rabbott is the least objectionable member of the lieberals. The rest of them are just rightwing ideological zealots who will alienate the public faster than you can say - lets promise tony the governor generalship if he feigns an illness or develops a sudden desire to "spend more time with his family".

Look at them. Hokey is a cruel fat overlord who expects the serfs to know their place and doesn't mind admitting it. Turdbull has sold his soul to the dark side and looks more diminished every day. Morrison is like something out of that Munch painting. Pyne is just a prat. Julie-the mexican staring frog-bishop is just another costello coward too gutless to move on a weak and feeble leader. Shes the wrong gender for uncle allen and the chaff bag set too.

There is no one who could credibly replace rabbott without causing an even greater slump in the lieberals poll numbers. Not to mention the damage from the turmoil of another prime ministerial knifing.

They, and we, are stuck with this idiot until whenever the next election is called. Baseball bats at the ready.

Mikk, do you not think Cro Magma Man Cormann would make a good prime Minister? After all we've always relied on homo sapiens and Abbott to run the show, its time a Neanderthal was given a run. Vote 1 Mathias Cormann. He is a 'mans man', not a 'girly man' like Shorten.

"Keep your friends close but your enemies even closer." What's the bet that Turnbull gets Hockey's job so he works closer with Abbott and has less time to plot Abbott's downfall.

There are moves afoot to promote Turnbull to Treasurer, these days the Treasurer is in effect the governments number two, forget the position of Deputy PM, the cow cocky Truss has, or Liberal number two Julia Bishop. The Treasure is number two, putting Turnbull there would give him a chance to show what he's made of and could then challenge Tony Baloney late next year.
Julia Bishop always reminds me of a woman from a 1960's TV cooking show.
"Now ladies, beat the eggs vigorously, just the way hubby beats you, add the sugar and the milk. Hubby will enjoy these Delicious scones after a hard days work, and if he does not, well you do deserve a jolly good thrashing."

Arjay , that conspiracy might have merrit. Abbott might put himself on the back bench, that would have even more merrit. What do they need a leader for they havn't had one all year so far.
Abbott is weary of Bishop gaining a boyfriend, positioning herself, 25 times more popular than Abbott.
What the liberals need is a budget, and somone that can talk to other representatives of our parliament. Abbott is grosly inadequate at that sort of communication.
Bishop and Turnbull, that is a team that might just work. And get rid of the speaker, her bias is way out of kilter, very noticeable you could say. It's like an out of balance wheel.
Hockey is disalusioned and would be more use at home feeding his chooks.
Pyne is out of his depth, ans should not hold a front bench seat.

Of all the Liberals, I don't mind Hockey. He just did what he was told to do by Abbottcredlin.

They need to replace the bumbling leader who seems to act more like a dictator than a party leader these days.

I don't much care who replaces him....

Suse,

Funnily enough, it's Hockey who's likely to get the chop.

No sympathy from me, he's an elitist who practices sleight of hand like the rest of them....disingenuous to a tee - a consummate thespian in parliament - shouty - and about to be shown the door (it seems)

I know he is a bit elitist alright Poirot, but I like his sense of humour!
I hope he doesn't get shafted.

At least he has a reasonable personality, which is more than we can say for the likes of wooden Tones, steely-eyed Bishop, and Lock-kiddies-away-Morrison!

According to Saturday, The Age, Dec. 6th 2014 -
MR Hockey has become a lightening rod for internal
dissatisfaction due to stalled budget measures
and a deteriorating deficit, with calls internally
for him to be replaced.

On the final day of Parliament as Mark Kenny, Chief
Political Correspondent of The Age points out -
Mr Hockey attempted to address party-room mutterings
arising from a series of political errors and what
some say is excessive control by the Prime Minister's
office.

The fractious mood according to Kenny follows a messy
final two weeks of the parliamentary year dominated
by confusions over the $7 GP co-payment - dubbed the
"barnacle debacle," controversies in the office of the
Minister for Defence, David Johnston, and new tensions
between Mr Abbott and his deputy leader and Foreign
Affairs Minister, Julie Bishop.

The relationship between the two top Liberals is now an
open question after Mr Abbott insisted on sending Trade
Minister Andrew Robb with her to a climate change
conference in Lima, Peru.

For his part, Mr Hockey confirmed the unrest in government
ranks by publicly pointing the finger at ministerial
colleagues angry about having to find savings in their
portfolios.

It does appear that the mood for change has gripped some
inside the Coalition who appear to be looking to Communications
Minister and former Liberal leader Malcom Turnbull to be
installed as treasurer.

"The jungle drums are beating," warned one longstanding
Liberal, who according to Kenny warned frustrations could
come to a head in the early months of 2015.

Could the atmosphere become as toxic as it was within
Labor under Prime Ministers Kevin Rudd and Julia Gillard?

Time will tell. In the meantime rumours abound and the
Coalition's popularity in opinion polls has taken a dive.
Which does not bode well for them.

With the defeat at the Victorian elections, and QLD on very shacky, disquiet has broken out in the liberal camp. Hockey is a scapegoat and must fall victim to the Abbott Credlin ragime.
Other liberal party members are just representatives of their electorates, with no say in politics.
They must find it hard explaining to their constituents their role in parliament, not to mention what they are trying to acheive for their electorate.
Abbott signals a reshuffle, for what no one but Abbott has any say. They wouldn't know what to say. Abbott and Credlin say it all behind closed doors.
What a shambles this govt; has turned out to be. It has got to be history making. Now the populous is starting to turn against the very lot they voted for just 12 months ago.
Their ambitions have been very poorly worked out at a time when we were hoping for stable and reliable govt;
We as a nation were sold on the ideals of the incoming govt, so what happened. The voters are owed an explanation of why this govt did not follow the schedual of promises and three word statements we were given just before we voted.

Abbott only had to do 4 things to be a winner for me.

Get rid of that disgusting red head. Done.

Stop the boats. Stopped.

Chuck out the carbon tax. Chucked.

Stop the climate, global warming, rort. Well under way.

We already huge winners from his election, anything else he can achieve, like reducing Labors huge left behind debt, with the idiots in the senate will be a nice bonus.

Obviously lefties hate anyone who can get sensible things done.

Hasbeen : You must be reeling with a comment like that. You are against females in high places, and females with red hair.
The boats have not stopped, but they are stopping, can we take the word of a self confessed liar for that.
The abolition of the carbon tax was a fantasy as to it’s achievement It added 6 billion to the deficit.
This man with his credentials in science against the rest of the world is astounding and dangerous. Carbon omissions have risen month by month since the removal of the carbon tax. Planting trees will not cut the mustard, it’s a dream. If anyone in their right mind thought that would work, trees have to be planted and raised before any carbon tax removal took place. Who does the removal of the carbon tax benefit.
Our PM elect is on a short string and any slack has been taken up.
You are very easily pleased by a bumbling govt; without direction.
Sell of anything they can get their hands on, the problem with that is you can only do it once. How is debt reduction going, we are all waiting for big surprises to be announced. Mr Abbott is a one man govt; so he must take everything coming his way, and there will be plenty of that no doubt.
It’s about time Turnbull returned to put some common sense in the system, and come up with a realistic budget that can be worked with before it is due in may.
If the indecisions continue next year labor will have no option but to block supply for the greater good of our nation. We can only hope for sanity to prevail.

Instead of taking a leaf out of Wayne Swans book and SPENDING to create jobs and trade out of a downturn, these fools have decided to cut, cut, cut. We are going to end up like Greece and Spain and it will take years to get us out of this.

After 1 year in office and 1 year of blaming Labor for everything, this shows how inept they really are at running the country and what an absolute mess they have made of things. Senator Cormann said News Corp Australia had published a "pretty comprehensive list" on Saturday of the agencies, bodies and committees that would be affected.

Among the 175 government bodies identified on the hit list are four councils and committees established by the Council of Australian Governments, which were scrapped a year ago as part of a plan to reduce the number of councils from 22 to eight.

This includes the Standing Council on School Education and Early Childhood, which has already been replaced with the Education Council.

The list also identifies the infrastructure coordinator as among the positions that will be scrapped. This position was abolished in September and replaced with a chief executive role as part of a restructure of government advisory body Infrastructure Australia.

"Having spent the past year re-announcing existing infrastructure projects and pretending they are new, they are now reannouncing old cuts," shadow infrastructure minister Anthony Albanese said

In recent days, Ms Credlin has also been quoted by News Corp rejecting speculation her relationship with the Foreign Minister, whom she referred to as "Julie", has broken down.

In the speech, Ms Credlin also complains about media constantly referencing her husband, the Liberal Party's federal director Brian Loughnane.

But their dual roles have also been a long-running point of contention within the Liberal Party because MPs feel if they have internal concerns about Mr Abbott's office or the federal secretariat, they are unable to raise the issue because of Mr Loughnane's and Ms Credlin's grip on both.

Mr Abbott said MPs could bring their complaints about his office to him and reminded his colleagues that the Coalition had won office under Ms Credlin's leadership in the job.

But MPs, who did not want to be named because they feared internal retribution, said Mr Abbott had shown an increasing tendency to ignore any complaints about Ms Credlin

Mr Entsch has hit back with extraordinary force, openly describing the apparent dysfunction behind closed party doors.

"To suggest there's an issue because of her gender I find offensive," he said.

"He's basically said, 'if they don't like it they are sexists'.

"He needs to be very careful because there’s a lot of cabinet ministers who have a problem with how the Prime Minister's Office is operating.

"It's as bad as it's ever been."
Tony Abbott's chief of staff, Peta Credlin. (AAP)

Tony Abbott's chief of staff, Peta Credlin. (AAP)

Mr Entsch's complaint comes as the government battles to pass a range of the more unpopular measures of its budget.

He said Mr Abbott’s rhetoric was failing and his sexism comments were an attempt to minimise criticisms of his office.

"Almost every bloody headline is coming out of his mouth, whether it's 'shirt-front' or whatever.

"If he thinks so lowly of us that our legitimate concern in the way his office run is trivialised to suggest we are sexist is just mind boggling."

Business confidence is in the doldrums and declining, and today's judgment will do nothing to bolster that. No amount of excuses or blaming can fix the declines we have had in the last 12 months.
We need leadership and that can not happen with Abbott. His credibility is shot to pieces and can’t be trusted no matter what he says.
Unemployment is on the rise, and that further subdues business and consumer confidence.
We are in a gigantic mess, labor need to force an election now

What we need is a senate reshuffle. If we could get rid of the lefty lot, who refuse to pass sensible bills for purely political reasons, we just might have a chance.

Only a chance though. If the Oz voters are so dumb they can't see what Shorten & co are up to, there is not much chance for us to get out of Labors hole.

I suppose it is to be expected. If the yanks are stupid enough to elect Obama twice, the end is nigh for all of us.

How can anything Abbott does be called sensible. He is far to radical to be sensible about anything.
At 3.3 Billion / month over budget, they need to show some leadership. Unemployment is in freefall, and they are talking about spending billions on dubious infrastructure works.
Are world conditions right to be creating unemployment, which will take years to claw back. Unemployment and lib govt; go hand in hand, never been any different. If you have a problem you don,t make the problem worse by creating unemployment. The less money in society the less tax receipts, so further problems arise with business viability.
The cycle has to be broken, not exacerbated, infrastructure spending comes with large delays, maybe in the years, is that too long to wait, how many will go bust waiting for moneys to filter down ,if at all.
The liberal way of thinking is this is the best way for them, the street person is just collateral damage
