The theory:
1. A billionaire club runs the world with people as slaves via their debt money creation scheme.
2. They plan to reduce the world population by 90%, possibly by weaponised ebola or such-like.
3. Computers and robotics will replace the redundant 90% humans.

Let's look at the logic of this.

Current world population is about 7.3 billion. Ten percent of this is about 730 million. To start with, let's assume the reduction is pro rate: so China have 140 million, India 130 million, USA 32 million, Indonesia 25, Russia 14, Nigeria (the largest African country) 18, Germany 8, UK 6, Australia 2.3, NZ 450,000.

The world population would be roughly what it was in 1750. Commercial air travel would be unviable, certainly to Australia and NZ. For Australia, mining would be cease because China would not need to manufacture so much because there would be no market for their goods. There would be no overseas market for our agricultural goods (or wool - that market expanded in the 1800s because British,and world population shot up with the industrial revolution.)

Overall capitalism would collapse. Even if robots could replace the 90% humans, what would they do? Make products to sell? To whom? Robots don't consume - food, food appliances, restaurant meals, cars, music, art, movies, TVs, mobile phones etc.

So, the billionaires wouldn't be billionaires any more. The lucrative businesses they built by selling us lots of stuff, and encouraging us to go into debt, would disappear or be significantly downsized.

This is why the conspiracy theory is nonsense. Those powerful billionaires aren't about to commit power and financial suicide

Part 2.

My previous analysis just dropped the world population by 90% pro rata, and assumed no other changes but less people.

Now let's examine a 90% drop due to a world pandemic such as a 'weaponised' ebola. Pandemics work fast - let's assume a 12 month time frame.

So, at the end of 12 months, there is 10% population left - about 720 million people. But there are also about 6-4 billion dead bodies. These are mainly cluttering up the cities, unburied (the remaining 10% have no chance of solving that, even if they haven't fled the contagion.)

As a result the cities have collapsed - no power, water, communication, hospitals, school. trains, planes, roads cluttered with abandoned cars, so, no food reaching the population centres (another reason why the 10% surviving will have left).

The billionaires may have bunkered down in safe-houses, but how are they going to get their robot work force into action, even just to clean up the mess?

Would it make much difference if the pandemic took 24 months, or 5 years to cut the numbers to 10%? The end result would be the same, but the survivors would have more time to organise.

What if the population drop was not pro rata? Perhaps the virus took out all the adults leaving under 15s? How would that play out? Or, all the kids were wiped out, leaving the 10% all over 50? Either way would have significant impact on the future.

Either way the billionaires would lose their power and money.

What if the result was not pro rata across the world? To get to 10% we'd need to lose all population in Africa, China, India, and still a couple of billion more. The conspiracy theory might allow saving everyone in the USA and Europe, but what then? The billionaires are rich because of global trade, and that would decimated.

Over the subsequent 100 years, the empty countries would be recolonised, but that wouldn't do the gang of billionaires any good. They'd be long gone, along with their power, money, luxuries etc.
