Agronomist,

"It would not really be possible to weaponise Ebola as it won't survive outside a body for long and firing fruit bats as a way of spreading the disease would be impractical."

Lol!

Here you will see a press conference in Texas. This is the 2nd heath worker in the US who get Ebola wearing a full hazmat suit. This conference does not inspire trust in our health officials.

Ebola must be very contagious if it can circumvent these medical protocols. Currently they say it is doubling every month.2 to the power of 12 is 4000 but in 7 mths they have 8000 victims. 2 to the power of 24 = 17 million. 2 to the power of 30 = over one billion victims.

The time to act is now.

Poirot,
What about suicide bombers? Are they not "weaponized"?
It would be a simple task for a suicide mission participant to become infected on purpose and then travel quickly to avoid temperature checks at airports.

Arjay,
I think those Texas health workers have been just using masks. In Africa some health workers look like they are using eye hazard protection used for grinding metal.

How absurd to be breathing the same air.

All involved should be using compressed air or quality re-breather gear like that used by divers

There is only one medical staff member of Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital with suspected Ebola, not two.

The nurse was not wearing a full "hazmat suit", but "a gown, gloves, mask and a shield". http://edition.cnn.com/2014/10/12/health/ebola/index.html

The suspicion is that a failure of protocol led to the infection. It could be something as simple as the way the nurse took off the protective equipment.

Nurses because of their close contact with symptomatic patients will be at high risk. However, they are also monitored carefully and so the disease will be identified early and their chances of survival will be much better.

AGRO THIS IS THE 2ND Medical worker in the USA not just Texas. We have one in Aust.

JF Aust they say Ebola cannot be caught by air and there must be transmission via bodily fluids. So why wear any protection ? Sounds like lies and disinfo to me. All the scenes on our media have staff wearing full hazmat suits. I don't know about separate air supplies. They would not need separate air if the filters have sufficient micron exclusion potential.

Remember Rahm Emmauel who said after 911,"You never want a serious crisis go to waste."
