PAUL1405...

Previously I said I'd not entertain any further dialogue with you. However, in the interests of accuracy, it's therefore necessary that I regrettably depart from this - you claim you've located a Chinese Restaurant titled Sung Wo ? So ? My sobriquet is Sung Wu !

Perhaps it was your old (dec) fishing mate, the 'crown sargent' (sic) that gave me that sage advice all those years ago, '...never argue with a mug...' !

and STEELEREDUX...

I have this sense you're endeavouring to extract some sort of reaction from me, by engaging in this circuitous and inveigling discussion about the literal merits of a particular paragraph in HASBEEN's aforesaid thread ? Actually, I thought you were better than that ?

Dear o sung wu,

What you describe as 'endeavouring to extract some sort of reaction from me' my faculty can only regard as 'asking a simple question of you'.

That you again felt unable to be forthcoming surely leads me to the conclusion that the question should be withdrawn but also comforted by the fact its answer is thus rendered patently obvious.

This I do forthwith.

'afternoon to you STEELEREDUX...

I'm moved to respond to you the only way that I feel is appropriate, for you of course ?

Res ipsa loquitur - 'the thing speaks for itself'
And for your further edification STEELEREDUX...

Late in the nineteenth century an Irishman, Serjeant (sic) Sullivan, before a Quarter Sessions "...Mr Sullivan said the judge; this would appear to be a case of 'res ipsa loquitur'. Is that an expression with which you would be familiar ? Why my lord, I am indeed, very familiar; in the vales of southern Ireland, whence I hail, the people talk of little else..."

Totidem verbis ?

Dear o sung wu,

SteeleRedux, thanks for those links about the "Australian Environment Foundation" aka "Timber Communities Australia." Clearly highlighting the deceitful lengths the logging industry will resort to. All in an abysmal attempt to mislead and fool people into believing those opposed to their cause, have turned turtle and are somehow now in support.
Any fair minded person reading those web sites could easily come to the conclusion that; "Well the environmental people are in favor, then logging can't be too bad, lets give it a go." Unfortunately these people have to resort to these kind of tactics because if they tried to stand on their track record, they would be shot down in flames. Yes we may have to wait some time to get acknowledgment from the usual suspects, that what you have posted is so, they are more concerned about the evil doings of the WWF and a yet to be identified survey.
