Belly currently the spend by governments on global warming is one BILLION a DAY.

Add in what councils spend, the subsidies paid to alternate power generation companies, & individuals, & it gets up to almost another BILLION dollars a DAY.

If you really don't think that interests lots of shonks, you are not thinking too deeply.

It is highly possible that the first scientists involved actually believed their theory. It is also probable that some of them, & others before them, believed in the new ice age scare of the 70s.

Once the greens, radical socialists, & the world government brigade started using it to further world government, it went from science to propaganda. Then add all the tin pot developing countries, promised a hundred billion a year from the west in compensation, & there is a lot of momentum to keep the fraud alive. Add in national governments hungry for new taxes to save their budgets, & it is all there.

Any Ozzie who thinks the United Nations is our friend is suffering delusions. The UN is now controlled by those very numerous semi failed states, with the voting power to control most of the UN activity. It is only the veto in the security council that stops total stupidity.
