OUG, Glad you are going walkabout on Tuesday. Your posts are getting so far "out there" even your most ardent followers are exhausted.

Enjoy the trip and take your time.

Spindoc Gday again and yes hope its a great year for you.
Do you understand the truly funny thing about this subject?
I doubt any poster on any side is not a one hundred percent believer in what he/she posts.
So think about that.
Unless at some future date we find out both are half right, and we may very well, someone is quite wrong.
Remember that golden oldy that song?
*It had to be you*
As this leg puller never is.
Have fun but know right or wrong I am totally sure we are impacting on the planet and its climate.

Hi Belly,

Many thanks for your wishes for 2014, likewise all the very best to you and yours for the future.

You ask if I truly understand what is funny about this subject? Yes I think I do, I thought I’d made the sources of my mirth quite clear, it’s all about humour, irony and a touch of ridicule.

I don’t think it has anything to do with “belief” in what we post. Remember I'm just the messenger, this story is straight off the ABC news. I don’t have to believe in it because every other news channel has also covered it. So I trust rather then believe. True or false, the situation warrants humour.

To those who feel that the ridicule is directed at their “belief” and do not see the funny side, I refer to the often drawn conclusion that “believers” exhibit a dramatic loss of spontaneity and sense of humour, particularly when their belief is challenged. Just look at the responses on this thread from the warmers, not a bl**dy grin in the house.

You say you are “totally sure we are impacting on the planet and its climate”. I can agree with that. Now all you have to do is measure that.

Yes I do remember the old song, “It had to be you”. Your problem is next time won’t be Frank Sinatra singing Belly, it will be the Fat Lady and she’s warming up right about now.

Smile Belly, stop taking your belief too seriously and see the funny side of things for a change, Have a good old “Belly Laugh”.

It might seem funny but the millions of dollars, rescue bill will not be so easy to laugh at.

<< Let’s remember the pattern of extreme events around the world is the new norm. >>

You got it 579.

Maybe we shouldn’t be calling it global warming. How about global energising instead?

We're certainly get more extreme events, by the bucketload! And for anyone who knows anything about weather; that’s just what you’d expect to happen in a more energised system.

Overall, it is trending slightly warmer. But the amount of variation is the first thing that is really showing up…. and it has included many severe very cold events as well as supertyphoons, floods and the like in recent years.

And let’s not forget earthquakes. They are also connected to a more energised system.

All of this is exactly what you would expect when the Earth’s staggeringly enormous store of carbon is SUDDENLY released into the atmosphere in the geological blink of an eye!.... along with the staggeringly massive changes to the Earth’s land surface in terms of reflectivity, transpiration, infiltration, runoff, etc.

You guys who continue to denounce global warming really do need to take a good hard look at the changes that man has made to the various factors that affect the weather, and think about the notion that if the flap of a butterfly’s wings in the Amazon could cause a cyclone in Australia, then what can the changes that man has made over the last century do?

Please, STOP calling AGW bunkum, and start facing reality!

Luddy, surely you haven't taken to reading those propaganda rags now. If not I can't imagine where you are getting your information from.

There have been less cyclones of a number of years now, & not a single one made landfall in the Atlantic basin this year.

Tornados are down for 8 years now.

North America has set over 2000 cold records set in the last couple of weeks, & there is so much ice in the Antarctic it's playing games with warmists & their stunts.

So sorry mate, it's not just bunkum, it is collapsed bunkum.
