I think we should understand and expect any side will use greens and such to get its bills past.
But too remember the, well just plain silly stuff, thrown at Labor for doing what Abbott has done.

Another point worth noting our present quite mad Senate voting system, demands of all governments an acceptance of black m,ail from fringe looneys to get things done.
Thoughtful voters can in WA at least fix that by voting for your party then the opposition killing preferences to the cartoon party,s instantly.

Ok hasbeen i heard that. It's not a matter of what they do i will do, it's hypocrisy at its worst. Abbott will go down in history as an enemy of AU. He wants 50% of au out of a job now. If he ever resolves anything it will be a miracle, with dropkicks like Pyne in the team he is really up against it. Hockey has gone back to school to learn how to count.
Even Abbott's supporters are feeling the pain, not knowing what to expect next.

That oaf of a labor leader electricity Bill has been out maneuvered when his coalition partners stabbed him in the back, just as he was getting his Tea party started.

He is trying so hard to be negative about everything, and he still gets it wrong. But he is trying so hard.

579, don't you wish you never had the 6 years of Labor and unemployment they brought. All the refineries they closed, and the car manufacturing they stopped.

Abbott is finally realising there is a difference between opposition and government. Talk is cheap but actions are what matters now.

After an amazing parade of blunders and backflips he's ended up having to appear to make a few decisions (or at least wait until Ms Credlin tells him what they are) and his inadequacies are there for all to see.

Now he has broken another pledge "not to make deals with minor parties" and pretend that the Greens are suddenly economically responsible.
However I doubt the Greens will back him on the the removal of the Carbon Tax but they have certainly damaged themselves politically.

SM, I don't get your ALP Tea Party reference.
It was Cory Bernardi who went to study the Tea Party methods first-hand in the US and introduce them into the Liberal political strategy, along with the creation of those bogus sign-waving astro-turf protest groups.

Unfortunately the fear-and-loathing and relentless media barrages only work when in opposition and now they are high-and-dry and bereft of workable policies to make their empty slogans a reality.
Even Rupert won't be able to cover for them all the time and there will be considerable public resistance to the planned break-up of the ABC - especially in rural areas.
