Regarding the National Debt Ceiling the logical
conclusion to eliminate the Parliamentary
argument over the limit, and following logical
thinking, the Government of the day should get on with
the business of running the country efficiently within
reasonable economic limits instead of arguing or setting
limits on the spending - to which end it seems the Greens
managed to express their concerns. It doesn't mean that
the Greens support the Liberals or the Opposition - it means
that they're trying to encourage the current Government to
get on with the job of managing the economy within
reasonable economic means instead of wasting time arguing
about it.

And that's basically what the Greens stated on last night's
media reports.

I think this is exciting news. It is virtually a mirror image of the disappearance of the democrats.

It goes like follows.

Man starts things rolling.
Man retires.
ladies take over.
Ladies get false impression of their own importance.
Ladies start doing deals with Libs. [GST}.
Ladies start infighting
School teachers go look for another place to talk garbage.
Party collapses.

Yep, it's all good.

The debt ceiling is an artificial construct, put in place by a shambolic Labor government to give it a fig leaf of respectability. (i.e. "we may be spending like drunken sailors, but there is a limit."). That Labor is now using Tea party tactics, is the height of hypocrisy.

The Greens, not normally known for rational thought, have for once come up with a rational idea and agreed with Hockey, who would be stupid to look a gift horse in the mouth.

Now Labor, after governing for 3 years with a written coalition agreement with the greens, are trying to claim that there is a greens/liberal coalition. They must really think voters are stupid.

The noalaiion was all about living within our means so why the 200 billion. Can't they handle what they preach. Another backflip, Abbott says he doesn't do deals with minor parties, so why would he want to accept the Greens vote. No doubt there will be gifts in it for the Greens
