The cloak of 'do-gooder' is a convenient cover for:
- an industry that is making meg bucks out of the government. It is only taxpayers' money after all; and
- the culturally cringing Left, many of whom are rule-breakers in the sociological sense or have been unsuccessful in life, and as a result have a sizeable chip on their shoulders against society.
The traditional Lefties would be rolling in their graves at the self-serving BS being spruiked as 'Left' ideology. But then there were always crack-pots and opportunists around, even in their time.
It would be interesting to know how many who challenge the policy of the government that has just been elected (and resoundingly elected at that!) are directly or indirectly swinging from the government's teats and have been for years.
