The labor Government made a big thing about the mining tax and its implementation and benefits to Australia - Trouble is after 3 months it has not raised 1 cent. Therefore the critical questions to be answered is.

Exactly how many high paid bureaucrats and lower paid pen pushers in Canberra and around the country are employed by whatever department is responsible for this project of yours?

Good question.A new tax that doesn't work but the Carbon Tax will drive us all into abject poverty.

Labor are all about image without substance. They all have one aim,"Whatever it takes" to make them secure and richer.

I have to agree Labour was pretty stupid on this one.

By agreeing to absorb increases in State royalties they have given free reign for the Queensland and Western Australian governments to hike up the rate. Queensland looks set to pull in an extra 1.6 billion over the next for years and the miners are rightly screaming as this is a base rather than a profits based tax.
