I believe you're right about the Swiss, undertaking formal military training. And having done so, they're required to keep and maintain their military weapon secured at their home, including a quantity of munitions.

True also, you don't often hear of a swiss national suddenly 'going postal' either. Why ? I'd guess there'd be many many rifles and handguns available to the swiss also. But it's only in the United States, where they continually seem to have these horrific gun crimes.

Gotta be something in the water perhaps ? A very strange and violent world we live in, I think ?
