Rather, they highlight the importance of ensuring all Australians have the opportunity to practice their faith, without discrimination, and that people aren’t excluded from society because of their religious beliefs. The findings also suggest that religious beliefs and practices may need to be better accommodated in schools and workplaces."

The differentiation between religious belief and exercise and diet staggers me. Why do the researchers stray into this area at all? And if religious belief does these good things, why the reticence in recommending practice of religion?

Their findings do appear to be one in the eye for militant atheists like Richard Dawkins. Discrimination against people because of their religious belief would appear to be a way of lowering general well-being.

My problem with religion is that as a kid, it was taught to me not
as a belief, but the claim was that it was a fact. That is how
the world was, according to adults. I was clearly duped.
