What about Christians - forget about all the other religions for a moment - do they "abide forever"? Or do they come and go with the rest of us?

This is of course a question about the existence of an afterlife, upon which much of Christianity is based. Do you hold the view that you will continue to exist after your body ceases to? Or will you simply become, again, what you were before you were born?

I'm particularly interested in the concept of "living forever". Do you see this as a plus or a minus, where an afterlife is concerned?

Much of the "why is God" question can, I think, be explained by an answer to these questions.
