life/is-about...the/journey..
the/path...not..the/destination

its..about/feeling..at/one..
[feeling the..peace-with-in]

about/seeing/doing..thinking..how we-can..we/
make...where-we/are...better..not just...for ourselves..but for all/we meet

to quote..my/current..inspiration
http://www.jhardaker.plus.com/pdf/Through%20the%20Mists.pdf

<<..What shall/we..do/then?”

“I know not.
That is/one..of the problems..to/be solved..in the/higher-light;
for..the present we/have-to..wait.. it/is..enough/for..me to know that..‘God/is..His-own/interpreter,..and He/will/make..it plain.’>>

as/and when..he knows..we..seek-to/know/more
[more/shall-be..given]

<<“When you/think-of..such a..consummation,
do/you..not wish..for the..intervening/stages..
to/hasten-by..that you may..{at last}..obtain it?”

“Yes;..and/yet..no!”..she answered slowly.

“That is..the absolute-ideal..of every/true-soul,which,
in common/with..them,..I am anxious to/reach.

But..at/present..I have not the/capacity
to appreciate..and enjoy it,..

so the/gift..would be..too overpowering,..and would/only crush,..instead/of..elevate..me.

You must remember..that/one..who has/been successfully-operated/on{for blindness}..can only/be..initiated..into the/light..by degrees.

We have/all..been/blind,..and..God’s-light
will/only-come..as we are/able-to..bear it.

He/is..too/wise..to allow/any-possibility..of/disaster.

So the/climax..of anticipation/can-only..be attained
when the/soul..has,..by process/of..natural-growth,
reached..its full-stature,..and that-is..certainly not/yet.

As/for..waiting..-..well..I-am..something/like..a child
who recognises..this inferiority..to a/man,
but..the/consciousness-thereof..by no means..lessens..this present/joy.

The longing/for..autumn's-fruit's..never mars the/brightness
or spoils..the perfume/of..summer showers.

Neither does/my-great..desire to/meet..my Father
face to face..diminish my/pleasure here.

“On the/other-hand,..every step/I take
towards Him..becomes another/messenger..to me,
bearing..some fresh/revelation..of His-love,

every halting-place..becomes another/unfoldment,
and every message..quietly/expands my-soul
into a closer-likeness..of Himself.

I/am happy,..always more happy..
my cup/is-full..to running over.

It is ever/enlarging,..so that/it holds,..and I comprehend..all/the-more.

I am even/now..in heaven,..as far-as..I can understand/it,
from the/fact..that if greater-pleasure..were here,
I could/not..possibly appreciate..it.

Yea,..there is more/now..than I can anyway/understand
my cup runneth over,..but how/much I-know/not.

Therefore I/am..content,
because every power..and capacity..I have is satisfied;

but/there-are..other powers..and possibilities
which..I shall/grow..into..by and by,
then they will/also-be..as fully provided for.

With this/knowledge..I look forward,..like the/boy,
to that..which..lies/before{me}

and like/him,..perhaps..I/build..my castles in-the/air
of what..I shall-then/do;

but..in the/mean-time,..I thank the/Father
for His...wondrous-love..in the past..and present,

and am/content..to/wait...
His future/..revelation.”>>

in his*-time
not/myne..nor thyne

ahh/yes
ahhh-men

all/in..his..good-{god}'s..time

A new commandment I give you. Put God first & love one another changes the world for good, for only God is good. Words got us into the mess. The Truth (words) get us out. For the Truth you know sets you free. Seek the Truth and you will find it.

Ok, oug, you asked for it.

>>pericules...come-on..you got/some..great-ideas
just simple/ones..will do..or even..complicated
we need..the heavy-hitters in/on..this<<

Here's an idea.

The world doesn't need changing.

It is simply the result of 6,873,218,610 (as at 08:48 AEST October 6th 2010) people doing their thing.

It is absolutely impossible to change one thing, without causing a totally unpredictable ripple effect.

This is true locally, as well as globally. Think about the proposal to build a supermarket on the outskirts of a small town. On the one hand you have the possibility of cheaper produce for the local population, thanks to the buying power of a large conglomerate. On the other, you have the loss of local businesses that have perhaps been serving the community for decades.

There is no one answer.

People who would prefer that we should "live in simpler times" make a strong case against everything from globalization to selling coal to the Chinese. Others believe that we have an inalienable right to continue improving our quality of life through technology.

There is no single answer.

Some people hanker after the time when Australia was monocultural, stressing the dangers associated with accepting too much "differentness". Others believe that we have a duty as citizens of the world to share our good fortune with as many others as possible.

There is no right answer.

But we sure could use a great deal less government than we currently have.

"People who would prefer that we should "live in simpler times" make a strong case against everything from globalization to selling coal to the Chinese. Others believe that we have an inalienable right to continue improving our quality of life through technology."

It is interesting that you think the two are mutually exclusive.

"Others believe that we have a duty as citizens of the world to share our good fortune with as many others as possible."

As long as we still have it to give. Australia does not have a finite water supply, most of the land is unforested and more is going under housing. We should be asking also why our brothers and sisters in other parts of the world are not 'blessed' with the same good fortune as others and try to remedy that inequity (if we are talking wish lists).

Trying to paint those who think overpopulation has detrimental effects as unwilling to share is disingenuous and oversimplifies the debate into economic (pro-growth for profit) and racial agendas and totally ignores the environmental impact.

The irony is most in the anti-overpopulation camp believe we in the West will have to abandon blatant consumerism and wealth accumulation goals so that others in the world can live better than they do and thus share the resources around.

I would scrap tax, and scrap welfare, and start all over again.

Throw the whole book away.

When so much of the population are giving 30 odd percent of their income to the governmnet and getting a similar amount back in welfare we have created lunacy.

Think of the billions saved in maintaining all that tax law, employing all those public servants, and administering all that churn. It'd probably enable a GST of 20% and no income tax. All those effective marginal tax rates problems would vanish.

pelican,

That lot sounds grand! But how?

Phase 1- collect underpants...
Phase 2- .......
Phase 3- Profit!

'Perhaps overall a shift to an emphasis on the 'WE' rather than the 'I' but not so far as to stifle individual creativity or freedoms at the personal level.'

Is that code for the abolishment of 'user pays'? Are you a closet communist?

'A shift back to really valuing our children and ensuring they are able to be raised in healthy and happy homes'

That's easy fixed; Abolish childcare. Many people would be forced to survive on 1 wage, most children would have a stay at home parent, house prices would crash, productivity would dive, and the recession would remind everyone what was important in life. Drugs and Alcohol!

'the push for 'adult' freedoms does not outweigh the rights and wellbeing of children.'
So no Calvin Klein for kids? MTR has really gotten to you.

I think the reverse problem is more an issue these days. Kids these days are the little kings and queens of the family unit, worshipped and served by their adult slaves. This has robbed kids of resilience, imagination and independence.

'Australia does not have a finite water supply'

Too true. The water supply infinite! Every time it rains, we get more water!

'Trying to paint those who think overpopulation has detrimental effects as unwilling to share is disingenuous and oversimplifies the debate into economic (pro-growth for profit) and racial agendas and totally ignores the environmental impact.'

I think I can clear that up. An inner city intellectual who is concerned about population is a greenie, a manual worker in Lindsay who is concerned about population is a racist.

'The irony is most in the anti-overpopulation camp believe we in the West will have to abandon blatant consumerism and wealth accumulation goals so that others in the world can live better than they do and thus share the resources around.'

Not sure I understand this. If we stop buying teles from china, wont that hurt the Chinese factory worker?
