I would note USA had and has a large migrant German population as well as English, Irish, Polish and French etc. Certainly, when a nation is not at war with another, its people are free to pursue whatever links take their individual fancy but individuals pursuing private links does not constitute governmental support for “arming the nazis”.

There was, following WWI, as part of the armistice negotiations, arms embargos and limits to allowable armarment holdings and research applied to Germany, which Hitler secretly broke in developing his tanks and aircraft etc.

I would further note, USA UK and the Allies in WWI were instrumental participants in establishing the League of Nations, the forerunner of UN..

Does the author support a different set of politicians? Ones who have at some stage actually had the responsibility of government and who have managed to avoid causing harm to children by the policies they have implemented (or failed to implement).

If so I would be interesting to know which politicians have achieved that goal. Can't think of any myself.
