How does that happen if communism is no longer anywhere in the land?

I think it’s possible we might see the day history made by the Aussie public asking for Howard to return.

He stood up and said 'We' will decide who comes to this country and the conditions they come by. It went a long way to his re-election

On the other hand its common knowledge Rudd won on the migrant vote.
Although credit where its due- The Federal Government have just slashed! Migrants entering. (Mind you those migrants who helped make him Prime Minister might not view the cut in the same light.

Its would be really nice if we could all live together but -
Islam has one law. Halal means lawful. There are no courts to over
ride that. Half these poor buggers coming into this country have no idea what they are in for.
Sure its common knowledge Australia good place mate- no work free house medical centerlink but what they can’t handle is our FREE life style.

The British have been committing atrocities on the Irish people for Centuries and it didnt stop hundreds of years ago. The treatment that everyday, run of the mill Irish people in the North of Ireland since 1969 seems to a great extent to be unknown. No country can oppress the people of another country and not expect the oppressed to return with some action of their own. The actions carried out by the Irish people began peacefully with civil rights marches by students who were bashed and beaten, the violence grew from this and culminated in the actions we have all seen. But when all is said and done, The civil rights marches were just that peaceful marches demanding basic human rights.

TOPIC. Terrorism effects Australia in the following way:

IF... we happen to have a needed alliance with a 'great and powerful friend' (which we do..ANZUS with the USA) it will bring the potential for those who our big buddy is annoying to see us as also 'them'...and if they can hurt us..they feel they are also hurting our big buddy.

Sadly..

1/ We cannot guarantee our own security without an alliance of some kind.

2/ We cannot guarantee that our big buddy will always be 'nice' to all members of the world community.

Point 2 is especially so in regard to fundamentalist Islam.

So... the 'effects' of terrorism in many nations kinda goes with the territory of needing such alliances.

Alliances also mean we have responsibilities to do what we can where and when we can to assist big buddy in his wars also.
