It's really disappointing to see this thread go the same way as all the others, a slanging against Animals Australia. No-one can deny the power of its current campaign and the media attention it is attracting.

PALE and its disciples really should just recognise that Animals Australia and the other groups will do things their way (and they do it very well too), and PALE should do the same. Try focusing on solutions (not just talking about them) without petulant demands for everyone else to fall in line with ONE strategy, and rather than continually dredging up whatever the past disagreements were.

Sometimes I wish forums could hook people up live. Yes I knew it reopended and was looking for examples to explain the staff problem but guess I could have used a better I example.

I am not the kneees bees around here but know enough to know the problem is so few working on alternative projects.

Dear Nicky

Your post on the different ships is great imformation. Perhaps thats not be the right words but its late.

I was commenting on Banjo`s post. Nicky you really dont know what the background is here.

I am also very much focusing on solutions (not just talking about them) without petulant demands for everyone else to fall in line with ONE strategy, and rather than continually dredging up whatever the past disagreements were.

Despite your best intentions to help animals you dont or wont see that is my purpose too.

As far as demands for everybody else to fall in line with ONE strategy thats the problem for sure. BUT its not little old Taryn or pale trying to do that its your friends.

Nobody has the right to tell others how to protest or tackle live exports. Yes thats correct Nicky and others should remember it.

Its not myself or pale who did that its your buddies. I suggest you should get ALL the facts.

*Try focusing on solutions (not just talking about*

Come off by working to open abattoirs again in the Australian bush IS focusing on solutions.

Look I dont want to argue with you. We both want the same thing. Nicky honestlty you dont really know the truth and whats gone on but I do.

If you knew you would be furious because from what I have seen you 100% for the animals.

Well just keep up the good work. So will I as much as possible.

Many people from many different directions working for the one end.

Good night everyone.

Then why not forget what has gone on in the past, and you do your thing and let others do theirs. After all, it's about one objective. One point though - you have no way of knowing what I do or don't know.

As it happens, I think exposing certain exporters has its advantages. If you go to www.liveexportshame.com, you will find a document that reveals that some of the Emanuels ships I have named have been polluting the waters in the harbours of Portland and Adelaide and have been in a protracted court battle with AMSA to allow them to load. Do Australians want dirty ships in their harbours which contravene AMSA's regulations which have been in force since 2004? That information is as recent as this week.

The ships are operated by KLTT (Kuwait Livestock Transport and Trading), which has a website advertising itself as a massive meat processing outfit which exports meat all over the world - most likely from Australian animals.

Dear Nicky.

Because while Animals Australia, WSPA continue to
exclude the only animal welfare group
(to actually have a program) to faze
out live and replace with chilled
I intend to inform the public and demand answers.

Sadly, I think you are only here
to promote Animals Australia and PETA.
I`m here for Animals.

Yes the shame web site is great but another web site WONT fix this.
Working united to reopen abattoirs with farmers and overseas buyers WILL fix it.
That’s why I joined pale.

When pale first suggested to Animals Australia
in 2003 we do an investigation using Federal
and other agents Glenyse said NO Nicky.

That was with the total backing of 4 corners

The president of AA Dominique was all for it.

She`s since then spent the last few years trying to copy some of what was suggested. Just like meeting with Muslim Leaders.

I am not taking anything away from Lyn White either. I love that darling lady. I am telling YOU the truth.

Ok , so we showed some pictures the other night. Now what.?

The well funded cruel industry will just run a few ads calling us all extreme. Even I know the drill by now.

Now if Animals Australia were prepared to work with the project to reopen abattoirs under the MOU with Muslim leaders and PALE then nobody could call them that- could they.?

Also tell me then why they ignored ALL requests and offers for years to meet with the Muslim Leaders of Australia by pale Nicky.

Tell me why PAACT and others were instructed NOT to have contact with pale Nicky by Animals Australia to work on the project to faze out live exports with chilled.

Come on Nicky Glensye had nearly twenty years or more to contact Islamic leaders BUT didn’t.

Neither did Andrew. Didn’t they work together in parliament for fifteen years?

Do I smell politics? Didn’t the Dems give their preference votes to labor?

Why also did Dr Hugh Wirth behave in the same manner?

Regarding the rest of your comment about ships.
Look we cant have it both ways.

If we are serious about stopping live animal exports
because of the cruelty and job losses
to regional areas in Australia its probably
not contructive to start on about ships in
general exporting chilled meat.

See this is what I mean.

I am doing on about slaughtereing HERE in
Australia and your pointing out that
any meat has bad side effects.
In other words your against the abattoirs being
reopended in Australia.

What I do find interesting are you posts
above where you mention different ships and dates.
As this thread is headed down memory lane
(which I just indulged in)
perhaps it would help the public
to understand why we fight for the animals.
If you could tell some thruths of what
happended on each ship etc to the animals
in very simple terms.

Most people I have found dont understand rules and codes.

They do understand things like this-
In @@@@ a ship sat off @@@ with @@@ Animals onboard.
It was @@@ heat and many died.
Those ones pluss the sick were tossed
overboard or thrown down a mincer alive!

In @@@ An Australia ship tossed
all the stock overboard.
This lead to diseases to the Island People.

Our Tax dollars were paid in a hush hush manner to the Island to buy their silence etc .....

Anyway Nicky I am just one of many
members of the Australian public
that will be remembering Kevin
Rudds lies at the pre election pitch.

Oh and about putting things in the past . What you mean is Animals Australia really want to stop pale telling the public the truth of what taken place in the past.

Well Its not up to me Nicky but I think if they pick up a phone that would be a good start to work uniuted.

Until then nobody is going to gag me or stop me telling the truth of what I saw in that office.

TarynW, you should inform yourself better. The ships I cited were in fact LIVESTOCK carriers, not refrigerated cargo ships. They were prevented from loading sheep and cattle in Portland and Adelaide because they have failed to comply with AMSA's pollution standards. One is 41 years old, the others between 25 and 35. I think you might find that Australians do in fact care about their pristine beaches and harbours being trashed by sewage and raw pollution from these ships.

Once again, you know nothing about who I am or what I do. Nothing I said could be construed as saying that meat is bad, either.

And really - no-one CARES what happened between PALE, Animals Australia, WSPA or anyone else, so can we please drop it, once and for all? PALE has laboured us with this saga SO MANY TIMES, and frankly, I think most of us are sick to death of it. Anyone who might have been interested in it at one time has been regaled with the tale of PALE's self-described persecution at the hands of other groups on at least 8 threads that I know about, so if they were interested, they couldn't not know about it. And you still haven't provided any proof anyway. Publicly attacking Glenys Ooogjes at every turn is hardly constructive, and so far as I know, she has never been in parliament. Democrat preferences at the last election would have been determined on a far broader range of issues than animal welfare in isolation, so your accusations against Andrew Bartlett are fairly baseless too, since it would not have been only his decision.

As I said before, PALE should just do its thing, and it should let the others get on with what they do. You are claiming to 'work for the animals' when in fact your obvious intention spend the majority of your time and effort in trying to discredit anyone and everyone else in the movement. Patronising people does not help your cause. You actually have little to say that actually refers to real animal welfare.
