I cant remember a time when I wasnt watching Defence....what they were doing in regional excercises, how they were managing themselves (the bastardisation is still at stunning levels and the young men simply wont join up), what they were purchasing...its quality and numbers.
When I became a born again christian and read about the huge asian confederacy army called the kings of the east (Revelation 9:16 and 16:12) I watched Defence more.
They just didnt have it. They hadnt read The Word.
They worked to a weaker, different beat making do with scraps from Budgets, and not building with the Holy Bible in hand.
China DOES an outward march. Millions of soldiers.
Now Im willing to say "I think its too late for Australia"...most of the land mass.
We blew the opportunity to make Australia a fortress against the vast armies to the north and far north and now we can clearly see whats coming.
If the US nuclear umbrella comes down...I say when...Australia is on her own and the new Kevin Rudd White Paper on Defence wont matter two bob if it doesnt already cope with the urgent need for a scattered citizens home guard defence force.
Who really thinks Australia is safe if the mighty USA goes to war with the other two major world powers and they become absent from the South Pacific region?

Gibo,

Firstly welcome back.

Who is Jack Burrell that you often mention? Most Google searches I do give results that are mostly yours from this and other websites. I noted a few prophecy websites naming him, but do not give any information about him. It was through doing a Google search on Jack Burrell that I came across this web site.

He may be right, but that doesn't mean I'm going to believe him. The only source of prophecy that I will fully accept is the Bible. I've been involved with Pentecostal Churches for years now, and I've seen numerous prophecies that have been false. In fact, this led me to leave the Pentecostal Church for a number of years.

With regard to your comments about Christ's return happening before the death of the last person born before 1948. Christ did indicate that it wasn't for us to know the time of his return. We need to be careful claiming that he has to return at a particular time. As a Christian, I have always accepted that Christ can return at any time. There is no reason why his return could be before I finish typing this post, or it could be in 10,000 years. We don't know, but need to be ready. In history, various Christian groups have predicted dates for the return of Christ, but these have passed unfulfilled. I remember a book published in the 1980's "88 Reasons Why Christ Will Return In 1988". I can give you one reason why the book is wrong.

Personally, I leave these doom and gloom preachers alone.

Dear Gibo,

Welcome back from me as well.

I fully sympathise with your feelings of
"doom and gloom."

I often feel very depressed watching the news,
reading newspapers.

However, as Charles Olson proclaimed,
"What doesn't change is the will to change."

Because I believe this, my life over the years,
in spite of adversity at times, has moved
towards fulfilment, with my work, and with the
people who are close to me.

That there can be change, and that there are
positive alternatives is evident, all we have
to do is find and take direction.

As the writer Maurice Strandgard insists:

"Somewhere there must be a place
Called Little Peace
Where men with little humanity
Do not have the power
To make great decisions.
Where little fears do not lessen
The so small span
Of our lives,
Where
For once
We can know peace.
Just a little.
To know the taste of it."

Take care.

Yes welcome back Gibo saying something controversial always brings posts in your threads.
In fact I often try to think who posted that on reading the title before opening the thread.
You stumped me this time.
Nothing however has changed, people thought just like that even before federation.
Once the evil about to over throw us was Russia now in your view its China.
Your kings of the east remember only exist for some, not all Christians
We mate are in numbers equal to about 1% of our potential enemy's lets hope we never have to fight them.

It's a good subject Gibo. In fact, one of the utmost importance...second only to sustainability issues I reckon.

I said before, on one of your general threads, that I think the European cum multicultural occupation of this continent will ulitmately be a very short phase in between two very long phases; Aboriginal occupation and Asian occupation.

I was very surprised to get no reaction at all to that.

I don't really know what the gist of Rudd's defence strategy is (I'm not keeping up with things very well while I'm travelling around the country), but I do know that it is an extremely important matter.

Oh Gibo, forgot about you. Not until I saw the same old drum being smacked and that dull plonking thud of the born again fundi Christian (MUCH worse than a reformed smoker) emanating from the screen did I realise I hadn't seen you for awhile.

Welcome Back!.

You'll be dead and buried long before those yellow men (sums it, eh Gibo?) begin stomping their way down through the Asia's to rape our women and pillage our lands. Kinda like what you lot all did to the Indigenous. Ironic, really.

I've actually got my money on an Eastern Indo, Australiasian (gasp, Gibo, gasp....), South Pacific including Japan, South Korea and various other nations together in something that mirrors a southern Nato multinational thingo.

That might save your vege patch Gib's.
