Hi Foxy- what a great topic. I want to share a story that I swear is absolutely true.

About 15 years ago I was at a friends place to catch up over a meal- there were 4 of us all together. After dinner someone suggested having a séance using a very basic-spur of the moment- home-made type oijui board. The oijui board was simply written on butchers’ paper with a small glass as the pointer.

We sat there for ages but eventually the pointer on the board started spelling out words. We then started to communicate with a young lad- about 6 years old- who died as a result of the bomb on Hiroshima. The detail he provided was amazing- his stories were equally fascinating.

We all took turns taking our fingers off the pointer and yet it continued to move. The whole experience was actually quite surreal however it was totally real. No mind-altering substances were involved. I was very unsettled for many months afterwards- mainly because I could not put this experience into any type of logical explanation.

The only people I have been able to discuss this with are with the other 3 people in the room that night. It was truly bizarre and I know it sounds unbelievable - but I am now an open-minded believer of all things beyond the realm of this life as we know it

Dear Tammy Jo,

I've heard about ouiji boards.

People have had all sorts of experiences
with them.

I'd love to go one a go, it would be fun
to try, but like seances, I'm just not game
enough.

I know when my dad died suddenly of a
massive coronary at the age of 52, I
seriously wanted to contact a medium.
My husband and I were overseas at the
time, so I never go to say all the
things I wanted to say to my father.
I didn't have closure.

But, in the end my husband persuaded
me against it.

Your experience fascinates me.

Thanks for sharing it.

We could fill pages, if we wished some are afraid to tell story's in such threads.
But if it is our brains telling us these story's we have much to learn.
I believe something exists after death.
Remember nurses will tell you we sometimes wait to die until a loved one arrives.
My mother waited, but to add to the story's she seemed to come back.
I lived in the home she had shared with me on my own.
A big country home empty but never quite.
Exactly one month after she died I was recalled to work.
Not for a second depressed or even thinking of her my truck smashed and rolled at the very same time she died.
I woke in hospital.
after her voice called me.
true every word brain or what?
I have no answer.

Dear Belly,

There are too many things that we can't explain.

And, as CJ said in his post on this thread,
I too firmly believe there's something out
there.

I guess one day we may get the answers,
But not just yet,
I hope. :)

Yes! it,s a case of seeing is believing in some cases. I had another friend who played around with those boards and his story was that, he was thrown around the room and is this tapping hell that the bible talks about or is there a more scientific explanation for this? Can belief be that strong? Can we actually generate those things from the mind?
Well I think the answer is yes! There are still forces we know nothing about.
Yes your right there Belly!

Mankind still has a long to go.

More and more people are opening themselves to the spiritually realm these days via the occult, seances, oijui boards, star signs etc etc. Despite what the hard line secularist tell us we have a spiritual curiosity. Unfortunately because most reject the Holy Spirit( mainly because of the love of sin) they encounter demonic spirits instead. I have met a number of non believers (i.e. of the Risen Christ) who have told me of frightening spiritual experiences as a result of the occult.Thankfully the name and power of Christ by far supersedes any demonic counterfeit that many experience. You are totally deceived if you don't heed to the words of Jesus when it comes to the afterlife. Accept and follow Him and you will live forever, reject Him (normally due to self righteousness and pride) and you will be tormented eternally. Its your choice.
