Nice link, Bugsy.

I thought that a Space Invader was an insect crawling into Gibo's ear.

Well chaps.
Im happy with what Ive written, though some of the responses are a bit uncool.

The Bible Word is "what we plant (sow), we reap" (Galatians 6:7).
It also stands rock firm for nations and what gets planted inside of them.

If we open, even a small door to Red China, the China that it is will move in through that door and begin to manipulate.
They are doing it all over the world right now today in 2008.
Global control is what theyre about.
Then years and years down the line we have a communist style government in Australia and a government that presecutes its people.

A big question: should ASIO and the federal opposition watch Labor ever so carefully?
You betcha they should... and never stop watching them.

Id ask for an inquiry as to where Labor plans to go with their "Red China" dance.

For Robert,

sorry for this late post Robert. It's from a post you wrote in 2005! to an article I wrote about Lolita.

And somehow, having just read your post an all the others, I felt the need to reply.

Sorry also to other posters in this discussion. If I could contact Robert any other way, privately, I would.

I'm currently doing my PhD on child sexual abuse and trauma. There is much research to indicate that young girls (and boys) who are sexually abused quickly make the association that their only value is sexual.

To get the love they need (all children need) they often present themselves sexually or, as you put it in your post, try to 'come on' to guys.

They may continue to do this well into adult life, recreating the abusive situation over and over until they are finally forced - by the level of their own unhappiness and dysfunction - to confront their past and the damage that caused.

So, yes, young girls (and boys do the same following abuse) re-enact it and try to 'seduce' those they want affection from. They have learned from an impressionable age that the two go hand in hand. (Research repeated over and over in various countries puts abuse rates at one in four for girls and one in seven for boys. Although under-reporting for boys is suspected. One recent Indian study of 2200 particpants showed a child sexual abuse rate of 46% of girls and 49% of boys. The question was not framed in terms of abuse but of first sexual experiences.)

Also, as you or another poster pointed out, I have seen studies showing that one-third of child sexual abusers are female.

Although not all abused children become abusers, some 60% of child sexual abusers have been abused themselves. Those who are going to take this path often start abusing others in adolescence.

Just wanted to clarify and respond to some of your points.

Barbara

Fractelle “I hope the dear reader appreciates how I have used my Green/Left affiliation as a basis for my scaremongering.”

Well that is as much as the green left can imagine, scaremongering, the doom and the gloom of eternal mediocrity.

With no inate imagination, original thought, the ability to innovate or aspire above the roots of the trees they hug, green-left is condemned to a precarious existence on the edge of the compost heap.

The important thing for libertarian capitalists is to make sure they green-left and other swill do not succeed in their entryist inspired attempts at subverting the more rational electorate into believing the sentimentality of their cause is anything but deluded bull dust.

Now to the question Gibo asks.

Imho, with every new generation of people comes a risk of the sort of political structures being built by the meddling fools who think socialism has anything to offer. Those “useful idiots”, as Lenin called them, having organised society into the sort of place where strong government is expected then loose their grasp on it and the entryist crawl out of the undergrowth to install a Leninist or Stalinist or Pol Potist regime of horror.

They might call themselves “reasonable and responsible socialists”, placing their pseudo caring and sentimental philosophy of demanding high taxation to alleviate all of humanities by and making sure high taxation ensures no one aspires beyond the mediocre.

Certainly history has shown how the young are more “socialist inclined” and how conservative values take a while to mature and replace the babbling socialist drivel in minds of youthful folly.

We will always need to beware setting ourselves up with the sort of social organisation which facilitates the entryists and other subversives.
However, the best way of preventing that is to keep government small and limited.
Do not allow the politicians to acquire power beyond the barest needed.
Devolve authority to local government, rather than centralise it.

The bigger apple of bigger government leaves more places for the entryist maggots to hide.
