Hundreds of comedy writers, in recent years have failed in their quest, to get me to laugh out loud at something they wrote. They have all failed.

You lot, on the other hand, have succeeded beyond your wildest dreams.

Oh dear, you were joking weren't you?

That may be not so far from the truth Austin.
The oil has been there a long time.
How do you reckon it got there?
Us christians say it is compressed matter from the Flood.

Well Gibo and Runner continue in their inimitable rant.

We are doomed and all that.....

But for sheer hilarity, the fascinatingly named "Austin Powerless" claims that:

"oil is the natural lubricant" for tectonic plates to move around on.........

ROFL

No, AP suggest you check out the following link, I would suggest that Gibo and Runner do the same but already know that they prefer to believe that God is in smiting mode:

Just a little hint, the tectonic plates were formed long before plants (from which oil is formed) evolved as the molten earth began to cool.

BTW Possible alternative Title to this discussion thread is:

OLO General Discussion...getting worse but why?

Wow, Fractelle, thank you for using your super intellect to put me right. If only I had checked Wikipedia before daring to present my theory.
I guess I should have known someone as sharp as you would have already done so.
What has ROLF (Harris, I presume) got to do with it? Is continental drift upsetting his wobble-board?
It's enough to make two little boys tie a kangaroo down just for sport.
Here's a little hint, oil was formed by decomposed zooplankton and algae under intense heat and pressure. Plants (trees, in fact), on the other hand tend to form coal.

Good old Wikipedia, where would we be without it. ROLF.

Fractelle. The Bible says there will be an increase in quakes in the last days but nothing is said about why the increase.
I really wondered what might be the cause.
Pumping out the oil could do what Austin says.
How does anyone know about tectonic plates or plants or what happened on the First Day unless they were there? So much is just theory.
Give that good old Bible any day.
Its so easily interpreted if you personally know Jesus and have His Spirit.

I blame Nigel Tufnell from the band Spinal Tap, the inventor of the machine that first measured stuff up to eleven!
