T'other night the ABC ran a 'forum' on immigration. It's part of the ABC's efforts to combat the One Nation lead movement against bringing in more people to clog the various cities.

Unusually for the ABC, conservatives were well represented in the panel although the audience reflected the ABC audience rather than the wider public.

One of the panelists was South Sudanese Australian lawyer Nyadol Nyuon. Among other things, she informed us that there is no such thing as a White Culture or an Australian culture and that, irrespective she has no interest nor intention of assimilating to either. She also opined that she may well have to leave Australia because of its attitude to her and her people.

All of this was duly soaked up by the usual suspects.

What the ABC failed to inform its viewers of was her background. Perhaps the ABC didn't even look into her background....that'd be racist or something. A mere week before joining the panel Nyadol Nyuon Instagramming her admiration of her father. Such a dutiful daughter.

And who is her father? His name is William Nyuon Bany. And his claim to fame? He was one of the founders of the Sudan People's Liberation Army (SPLA). According to Human Rights Watch he " lured hundreds of boys from their homes in Upper Nile to go hundreds of kilometers south to Eastern Equatoria, on the pretext that they would get schooling there. Instead they received military training at the base of Cmdr. William Nyuon, then a commander in the SSIA. The boys received little food and no medical attention, however. As their condition worsened Cmdr. Nyuon sent them to the nearest U.N. relief site, Lafon, for medical aid and food; forty seven boys died from malnutrition and illness in Lafon from July to December 1994. Among other things, SSIA soldiers stole their food rations".

Yes, no wonder she was full of praise for her father!! He was killed in fighting in 1996, but appears his legacy lives on.

One wonders why our immigration programme is being questioned.
