One Nation already influencing immigration?

It seems that the Coalition and Labor, both pooping their pants after finally realising the concern Australians have about mass immigration, and the fact that One Nation has shown willing on the problem, are to do some dealing to stop the march of One Nation. Nothing to do with what's best for Australia. Just politics and survival of our two party system.

Albanese recently met with Taylor and Shadow Minister Duniam to discuss stalled visa overhaul.

Taylor has already called for removal of legal aid in some cases, and implementation of a ‘safe country’ list, and values-based immigration, as well as positing that present numbers of immigrants are too high, and standards are too low.

When an agreement is reached, Labor will announce its changes to immigration, “in total”.

A possible backlash from the Labor caucus is acknowledged. The same caucus that undermined Minister Burke recently. Labor is always squawking about One Nation's top-down operation; perhaps they should do a little of that to control their ratbags.

If this overdue co-operation has been brought about by One Nation and the polls (that the legacy mob pretends mean nothing), the party has already been successful.
