Hi Fester,

I'm not sure what kind of "paradise" you want. Attacking an opponents dead mother is a new low even for the wicked witch. Do you not agree? As I said, Hanson has been a political parasite for 30 years, living off the public purse, whilst contributing nothing other than hate and bile to the political discourse of this country.

From the opposite side of politics from where I sit, people like Johnny Howard etc I may not have agreed with their politics, but I never thought they were as low and as nasty as Hanson, and they did care about the Australian people, dare I say Morrison and Abbott did as well.

I had noted in an earlier thread how interesting it was that Hanson, without actually being in power or having any real power to speak of, was dominating the immigration debate and overturning the shibboleths of the major parties in regards to the number and make-up of Australia's population. Its quite a feat for someone who, according to the elite, is a complete fool!!

Now we have the majors attempting to co-operate to put the kybosh on the immigration issue ie the establishment is circling the wagons to try to save their phoney-baloney jobs.

It was only last year that Albo was telling us that the government didn't really have too much control over the number of immigrants and so the massive post-WuFlu rise wasn't their fault. "Please don't blame us!!" Now it seems that they have complete control. I wonder what changed? Oh yeah...the polling - the only thing that really matters to people like Albo.

If they think that simply making an announcement that they'll change the system at some time down the track and that things will all be okey-dokey in a decade or so, will do the trick, they are more delusional than I thought.

What they need to do is announce that, as of tomorrow, numbers are halved or similar, that student visas are going to be strictly controlled no matter how much the universities whine. And they need to stare-down and be seen to stare-down the anti-Australian members of their own parties who will scream blue-murder at such changes. Then, and only then, will they be able to confront One Nation on this issue.

Then One Nation can move to the next issue.

I was reviewing the rise of Hanson for another purpose and its amusing to remember just how this all started.

Hanson was the Liberal candidate for the QLD seat of Oxley in the 1996 election. The seat was a Labor stronghold and she was given little chance of winning it. She wrote a letter to a local paper criticising special government assistance and “privileges” for Aboriginal people and arguing it fostered dependency and resentment.

Queue the usual screams of outrage. For the left, even considered criticism of anything aboriginal is a hanging offence. The Liberals, who were trying to overthrow Keating, ran scared and dumped Hanson as their candidate. She got massive publicity and since the ballots had already been printed, she remained in the election but now as an independent.

And she won. A massive shock to elite and the shocks have been coming for the last 30 years.

Imagine what would have happened if the fascists of the left hadn't tried to censor Hanson's views. She was a minor player in a minor electorate and her letter would have disappeared overnight. She would have lost the election and never been heard of again.

Oh the delicious irony.

Hi Trumpster,

The Nazi Party received 2.5% of the vote at the German election of 1928, five years later they were in Power, with complete control. So there is hope for your pin-up gal yet!

Hi Paul,

Magoo has a thin skin. I think his mum had rheumatoid arthritis, which can be very debilitating and was far less well managed back then, so yes, poor form from Pauline.

Contrast that with Magoo's descriptions of his critics as peddlers of misinformation or dark forces, and his frequent attempts to shut them up with authoritarian legislation. Also, if you are one of Magoo's goons, then he is regularly referring to his critics as Nazis, old fs etc, suggesting Aus will be a better place when we die.

I'm just a punter upset with the clown show and the betrayal of conservative voters by the Libs.

Hi Fester,

To say your opponents are peddles of misinformation or dark forces, is not unreasonable in political debate. As for the use of the term Nazi, just as I am refereed to as a Maoists/Marxist/Communists, its just as legitimate. Have I ever referred to YOU as a Nazi, no I have not, why because you come across more as a conservative than anything else. Am I a Labor supporter? To a degree, I think they make some mistakes, just as all governments do, but do I think they are doing a good job, its reasonable what they do. Not in agreement with some of their foreign policies, nor not fully supportive of their housing policy, believe they could be doing more.
