Commendably, Australia has responded quickly to the terrible flood disaster that has taken place in Nepal. The Australian Government has committed $8 million in direct financial aid, as well as dispatching two RAAF air transports with hygiene and other supplies. $2 million has been raised privately to assist with disaster relief. Almost 1,000 bodies have been recovered, with another 4,400 including 43 Australians still missing. P/S There are about 200,000 Nepal-born people live in Australia.

Australian Governments, both Labor and Coalition have always been to the forefront when it comes to disaster assistance to our neighbours and others. What does concern me is would a Pauline Hanson led government be so forthcoming and willing to assist our region with disaster relief, and other foreign aid. Which has been a bipartisan policy for many years.
