I never said I wanted people with incompatible criminal or violent political agendas entering Australia. No more than I want Australian born extremists with violent intent on the loose in the country, to commit atrocities like what occurred at Bondi.

What I don't agree with is stigmatising a group of people based on their religious and/or cultural beliefs, simply because they are "different" to myself.

Merz concedes 'most severe election defeat' in 'years, or decades'
