We are born to be biologically either male or female.
Our physical body will usually match this very well.
The male body is usually stronger than that of the female.
So, when engaging in sports activities, there is a distinct, and natural, divide.
Unfortunately, some people are born with an emotional outlook which does
not match their body.
They can also have built in sexuality which does not match their physical form.
They have a need to portray themselves as opposite to their biological state.
And they will undertake surgical manipulation to transform their appearance.
But some things they cannot change.
Their physical strength, and their voice.
Consider the situation where a biological male aspires to be seen as female.
He will still have the added physical strength of a male person.
And mostly still have a male voice.
Those I have met are like this.
They should not engage in sports activities outside their biological state.
They have a physical advantage which makes their participation totally unfair.

If as you say "It's a very serious issue", but only to those who participate or administer the sport. But for others on the sideline, with no skin in the game, its of little interest or concern. Should I say, "its a bad thing", or should I say "its a good thing", neither are relevant to those who are actually involved.

Bad luck, you didn't like my flippant comment concerning my gay friend and chess. Although taken to the nth degree, being gay and being good at chess, could have some relationship. Gay kids spent more time playing non contact games (chess) in doors, whilst straight kids spent more time playing physical games (rugby) outdoors, thus giving gays an advantage at chess over straights. BTW, do you think if I use that argument my friend might give me say, a 'Knight' as a handicap start next time we play? If I loose I'll think up some other baloney to get one up on him.

Just out of interest, how does this Tranny go at women's "Aerial Ping-Pong", is she a super player, scores 150 goals every match, or is she just an ordinary run of the mill player like the rest of the team. If its the latter, who cares what she's got between the legs!

My opinion, I think too many people spend to much time, worrying about what other people can and can not do. When it has no effect on them at all.

This same issue is now being played out in women's basketball in the US. Like all good leftists, those who run the WNBA make the right noises about transwomen being real women and therefore should be allowed to play.

So one billionaire has now proposed to buy one of the franchises and then create an entire team on transwomen. He figures they win every game by the length of the straight.

To cash in, another bloke who couldn't quite make it in the men's league, has suddenly declared the (heh presto!) he's a shiela after all and wants to be drafted into the women's game and earn the big bucks available.

The bozos who run the WNBA are now running scared that the game will be overrun by blokes playing dress-up. They've called a meeting to reconsider their position.

Meanwhile to prove that women just can't match it with the men, another bloke has offered a women's team made up of the best players they can muster $10 million if they play and defeat an under-16 boys team. The women aren't interested in the offer, knowing full well they'd be on a hiding to nothing.

I think all games should be open to all participants, regardless, even black fellas! Back in the day, when I played rugby as Left Right Out for the Blowflys, I recall the 1957 season! We hadn't won a game in the past 249 outings, and halfway through 57, things weren't looking any better for us Blowflys, 10 losses straight, bottom of the table. Then this guy Horrie turned up at training. Didn't say much Horrie, mostly grunted. Coach Nackkers trained Horrie to just get the ball, stick it on his back, run straight up field, under the posts, flop down on the spot, a try every time. With that things turned around for us Blowflys, won every game Horrie played, won the pennant that year! Sadly, the Commie, lefty, do gooders, down at Rugby HQ, banned Horrie from competing in 1958, said his testosterone was too high, we never won another match, and we never seen Horrie Hippopotamus ever again! How unfair is that?

I have no problem with people using the pronouns they want, wearing the clothes they want and modifying their own bodies if they want.

But … there are circumstances in which biology is a material consideration, and in these cases it sometimes makes sense to distinguish between biological males and females. Sexual safety is one, and some medical services.

Women’s sport exists precisely because people who go through puberty as males emerge on average taller, heavier, faster and stronger than females. Female-only sport allows a fair and safe contest. In a few sports these things don’t matter, or the benefits of being male or female pretty much cancel, e.g. equestrian. But that is precisely why there is not, for example, separate men’s and women’s dressage competition in the Olympics.

I have no problem at all with trans men competing at elite level in men’s sport. The fact that this has never emerged as an issue is itself telling.

At sub-elite level, so long as safety is not an issue, it matters less. If a local tennis club allows trans women to compete in women’s tournament, I wouldn’t be concerned.

Tennis icon Martina Navratilova has weighed in on this issue and has spoken out against the decision made in this case.

“Australia is really messed up when it comes to women’s rights” according to Martina Navratilova.

It's a very difficult issue as some people are trying to have it both ways, sit on the fence or in this case side with a transwomen over a woman, leaving women's sports worse off in terms of women playing in sports generally.

As stated in this interview and story (link below), it is said how it is important to stand up for women in women's sports. Personally I agree.

A number of people had also been warning about cases like we are seeing now in terms of transwomen in women's/girls sports for some time as well according to the interview. Many in the media have not been willing to report either (particularly female reporters/journalists) on this issue more broadly and in my view that is disappointing.

Those in the interview do though have no issue with transwomen in sports and I am one of those people. I have no issue with transwomen in sports as a principle. I am one of those concerned if transwomen's involvement is at the expense of other women and their role/playing opportunities in sport.
