Multiculturalism “puts Australia's interests second”, according to journalist Jordan Knight. I think that the multiculturalists’ intention was to give Australian culture a much lower position, but that's a matter of opinion. And their suicidal policy is certainly discouraging immigrants from adopting Australia's culture and way of life.

Does multiculturalism benefit Australia?

Jordan Knight writes that it was never meant to! He refers to the Frank Gallbally (notable lawyer in his time) report of 1978, which declares that immigrants had the ‘right’ to maintain their cultural and racial identity; and somehow (not explained) that was in the “best interests of our nation”, and that Australia should “actively encourage and assist” them to do so.

How this benefits the host nation has not been answered to this day - apart from childish rubbish about cuisine and the obvious lie that a diverse population gives strength.

Another report ten years later (Tony Fitzgerald, another lawyer) concluded that multiculturalism had become something for “immigrants and ethnic communities only”, and not for the whole of Australia. But, the same report advised that the “original intent” of multiculturalism was an outgrowth of “fine ideals of justice and equality and esteem”, that must be affirmed.

Work that one out! Obviously the concerns of Australians in the very same report didn't really matter. Newcomers were more important than descendants of those who made the country, and aboriginal Australians who also didn't like multiculturalism.

Previous assimilation and integration that worked was tossed aside in favour of promoting foreign cultures on Australian soil.

Australia should not be handing out money to any of the mini-cultures to help maintain them. Yet millions and millions of state and federal dollars are being handed out.

The nonsense must be stopped. And only One Nation recognises that.

Australia is one of only three countries with an official government policy of multiculturalism; the other two are Canada and New Zealand.

The federal government has given millions of dollars to “support multicultural communities with facilities and to promote connection”.

Promote connection to what? Certainly not to Australia, its culture and way of life.

Multiculturalism is an excuse to hand out taxpayer dollars “to win favours and to get votes”.

How does multiculturalism benefit Australia?

It doesn't.

Small wonder that the National Party is losing traction in the regions.

Australia was great long before freeholders with a mishmash of cultures were invited to come here, by his side of politics as much as Socialist the side.

All these “push backs” against ON by the Coalition Clowns will ensure another term for Albanese (or his replacement). The government is the Coalition's enemy (and Australia's), not One Nation.

One of the drawbacks to a multi-racial system is the difference in accents one comes across.
Language can be spoken badly, or with such pronounced emphasis, that one cannot understand what is said.
When shopping, this can make life difficult.
So that we can be the same or similar in adulthood, we should all start the same as children.
Schools are the best place for children to adjust and develop along similar lines.
In particular, the 'state' school system.
So, no more church run schools to mislead the minds of children.
Start the same: finish as similar adults.
I am sure that if we all had the same or similar outlook as adults, Australia would benefit.
Having wildly dissimilar groupings amongst us seems to be causing difficulties in many areas.
Aiming for equal-ness amongst us would be the start of a 'long game'.
But to gain this benefit, we need to start somewhere.

"How does multiculturalism benefit Australia?" Its a way of overcoming bigotry and hatred, brought on by all that nationalistic clap trap. By and large we have a good social mix in Australia, but there are intolerant people who want that replaced with bigoted racism.

If there is any real bigotry and hatred, and the old favourite 'racism', they all came after multiculturalism was forced on us by the uniparty.

It's the uniparty who is to blame, by the way; not the immigrants themselves. Ranting about bigotry and racism has no place in any discussion on immigration or multiculturalism.
