Hi AC,

Me Old Mum, used to say that migrants were "rather exotic" people, and she was talking about Greeks and Italians. The Old Man who was just as "racists" as Arty Calwell, had a bit to do with Chinese, he would say stuff like; "The Chinaman is tough to deal with, but fair, not like the bloody Jews!" and he though that was okay thinking. Different times, different attitudes.

When I was about 10 years old I was at a school friends house, they were Egyptians, I had lunch there. When I got home Mum asked, what did I have for lunch, I said; "Chips and Fish Fingers", Mum said; "I didn't think "Asian" people ate 'Fish Fingers'. I said; 'Yeah all the time, they love them".

Hi Indy,

All three monotheistic religions Judaism, Christianity and Islam adhere to the principles of the Ten Commandments. Islam does not list them as a single, numbered set, but the Quran affirms their principles. The Bible also contains passages that condones and regulates slavery, not something that is acceptable today, the Quran also does not prohibit slavery.

BTW; Buddhism broadly supports the ethical principles shared by the Ten Commandments, other than the worship of a divine creator. Buddhism does not support slavery. In fact, early Buddhist teachings explicitly oppose the buying and selling of human beings.

Isabel Beeton, 19th journalist and writer wrote cookery books as ‘Mrs. Beeton.

Mrs. Beeton was meticulous, and in one recipe for cooking hare, she wrote at the beginning, “First catch your hare”.

I suggest that posters, prior to giving opinions on culture, ‘first learn what culture actually is’.

AI Overview
The phrase "first catch your hare" is an apocryphal misquotation. It never appeared in any book by Mrs Beeton. The iconic culinary quote is instead humorously—but incorrectly—attributed to Hannah Glasse from her 1747 book The Art of Cookery Made Plain and Easy. The actual text written by Hannah Glasse for her recipe was "Take your Hare when it is cas'd". To "case" an animal meant to skin it. Over the years, "case" morphed into "catch" in the popular imagination, which gave birth to a proverb often used figuratively to mean that you must secure the necessary means before beginning a project or counting on an outcome. For more on the life of Hannah Glasse, often dubbed history's first celebrity cook, and the origin of her famous cookbook:

We already have the proof that there's at least one Monoculture that doesn't want to play a mixed game & that monoculture is openly telling & showing & actually practicing its bias as blatant as blatant goes. Yet we still have people (or rather extremely poor versions of) who either through sheer stupidity, arrogance or total lack of understanding anything, keep talking themselves into the impossibility of multiculturalism actually working ! They're either too stupid or complicit in the waiting game started a thousand years ago & gaining ground ! Gaddafi told the World openly yet the idiot Western mentality refuses to comprehend ! Its Academia has been bought off short-term to ensure a long-term result. Academic infiltrated Governments are falling over each other to join the rush towards the cliff ! At first in Australia, it was only Labor but now Liberal, Greens & Teals have been dumbed-down enough to follow !
On one hand it'd actually be a good thing to have the present idiotic mindset overrun but the risk of not having the numbers to then clean the swamp is too great ! When they say the meek will inherit the World, are they actually hinting at the utter stupid ?

Hi AC,

About culture, Here is some irony, If our little band of Anglo-Celtic OLO warriors had a time machine, ttbn can be working the controls, and transported themselves back to the year 1000AD in the land of the Anglo-Celts, how would they be received by the locals. Not speaking the language, looking different, not dressing in the fashion, their failure to follow protocols and practices, don't like the loal tucker, etc. Me thinks their Anglo-Celtic ancestors would murder them in 5 minutes, and serve em' up for dinner that night.

p/s Although they might let ttbn off the hook, when they realise, "Se ieldrafæder cwom"...translation; "grandpa's arrived"!
