R.I.P Fr Chris Riley, dead at 70. A true humanitarian, a good bloke, who did so much for the troubled youth of Sydney through 'Youth Off The Streets'. A truly sad day for all who knew Fr Chris.

God's love to every one is infinite.

looking at your post makes me think how many times God is kicking himself !

I think it is a bit simpler.
If you lived totally alone, you could do what you liked.
When you live in a group, you cannot be indiscriminate in your actions.
Doing so might impinge unreasonably on the life of others.
Which would create unrest.
So their are two basic rules:
You must never harm another person: ever!
You must never steal from another person: ever!
The one exception would be defending yourself from harm.
But that would mean someone else was already breaking the rules.
That's about it.
