Paul1405,
Rather than offering a pruned version of your family tree why not explain the source of your racist mentality ? I'm sure OLO readers would find far more enlightening rather than just having to guess from your answer evasions.
Tell us, are you in favour of keeping on stirring or could you actually be interested in working on solutions ?

Indy,

I assume you are referring to the situation of disadvantage that many Aboriginal and Torres Strait people find themselves in. I'm not just in favour of "working on solutions", but achieving positive outcomes as well. You should be aware of the reported failures in the 'Closing The Gap' report for 2025. There are 19 national socio-economic targets across areas that have an impact on life outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. Sadly only 4 of the 19 area targets are being met. There must be a better way, what are your suggestions of actions that can be taken to improve the lives of our indigenous brothers and sisters.

....the situation of disadvantage that many Aboriginal and Torres Strait people...
Paul1405,
Again, why the need to use the past when trying to work out present problems ?
I'm the first to acknowledge that the Indigenous Australians got the rough end of the stick from thousands of years before colonisation & up to the 1970's in isolated cases.
The privileges afforded to many indigenous nowadays far surpass the privileges afforded by working class non-indigenous.
Torres Strait Islanders have not experienced the land takeover experienced by Aborigines. Whatever land is used for Telecommunication, health, electricity, Supermarkets etc is for the benefit of the communities. There are two islands with small pockets of freehold for several Europeans & a few Malay, Chinese & Japanese. Torres Strait islanders mixed with non-indigenous islanders make up the bulk of the population there & are the only ones benefitting from the benefits provided by the Australian Taxpayers.
You should take notice of what transpires there at taxpayers expense.

Paul1405,
In my personal opinion the ones who have the opportunity to improve the situation are the same ones who perpetually shy away from taking responsibility & initiative. Leftist Woke Labor bureaudroids & Leftist Woke Labor scared of closing the gap indigenous blame shifters are the ones who stifle the aspirations of indigenous who do have the go in them to improve.
I have witnessed many times & still see it in the media every day when "experts" & "leaders" ruin opportunity after opportunity. You're a perfect example of that yourself. You're pointing the finger at everyone who is trying to help as racist as if this is the cause for status quo.
Your hatred is what's stifling progress & one more thing, I don't believe you actually grasp the meaning of the word. You et al can help remedy the closing of that gap if you weren't so hell-bent on widening it with poor mentality & ignorance ! Stop blaming others for your sabotage.

Indy,

As I thought, other than a political rant, from your comfortable perch, you have nothing positive to say. Given your track record of black insults, in your younger days what did you call Aboriginal people, Boongar's or some such derogatory name?

Paul1405,
As expected & right on the dot you replied with yet another one of your silly quips.
I noticed you yet again failed to offer any explanations you were invited to make.
Anyhow, I just saw a report showing inundation on a "island". This "island" is literally a mangrove sandbank & mud flat. In a word an intertidal area. Now of course it is "under threat" due to yes, Global Warming.
What do people expect ? Do people really think that pitching a tent on a highway will not have get hit by traffic ?
Here we have a couple of mudflat "islands" that cop inundation every time there is a King tide & strong winds & it is being described as a looming disaster ! I mean talk about senseless arguments !
There are several rather large islands up there that could accommodate three times the population there but no, these "brothers & sisters" won't let their "brothers & sisters" move to uninhabited islands because the islands are their traditional lands even though they don't use them. So much for "my people" !
