• Taiwan and whatever other neighbouring countries he decides to control for Xi Jinping

It may or may not be. That is how it appears to me.

It is my interpretation of Trump's modus operandi to date.

Whilst this may be true, Trump himself has little to no leverage.
All he can really do is force Ukraine to he negotiating table by wiih-holding weapons and intelligence, i.e. satellite targeting info.

Whilst Russia is optimistic, they won' be taken in by the Wests lies false promises and they hold all the cards on the battlefield.

At the same time, the Russia / China alliance is a problem to the US, and they wish to try to pull Russia away.
The EU may have frozen 300 billion of Russia's assets, but Western companies have already lost 360 billion also Trump and US companies would like to go back to doing business with Russia
