“The truth is that Australia is historically and still to a large degree a British nation, albeit one which has welcomed people in from cultures all around the world to enjoy the fruits of the British traits I listed above”. (Stephen Chavura, Spectator Australia)

The myth of multicultural essentialism is one of the most “detrimental pieces of propaganda” inflicted on Australians over the past 30 years, when the education system started preaching that “Australia's culture is multiculturalism”. Other countries have a culture, but Australia only has a “collection” of coexisting cultures, according to the propaganda and brainwashing.

As Chavura points out, Australia was not settled by a “tossed salad” of Greeks, Italians, Chinese and a 100 other nationalities; it was settled by Britain, with British ideas. Great Britain influenced language, expressions of Christianity, tastes in sport, economic system, literature, forms of entertainment, security alliances, and even our sense of humour.

Our sense of identity has been weakened by the multiculturalism myth in order to enable ideological movements such as Aboriginal grievance, cultural Marxist Wokeism, and Islamism to have an unopposed walk-through in reshaping our laws, education system, and nation as a whole.

The truth is that Australia is historically, and still to a large degree, a British nation, albeit one which has welcomed people from cultures all around the world to enjoy the fruits of British values and freedoms. We have been hypnotised by activists and the likes of th ABC into believing otherwise. Britishness is portrayed as bad by a minority but loud Fifth Column.

Chavura sees the most pernicious effect of multicultural nonsense in an immigration scheme that has produced “deeply divisive sub-communities and social trauma, every now and then exploding unto ugliness and violence”. And the pre-existing culture has been too degraded by the Fifth Column to stop it.

The British heritage that made Australia what it is is being slowly but surely uprooted. People who hate Australia want that, of course. They had better hope that they are dead and gone before the disease of multiculturalism finishes the country off for good.

Dear Ttbn,

«Our sense of identity has been weakened by [whatever...]»

Sense of identity is a false sense.
Whether that be national identity, racial identity, cultural identity, gender identity, class identity, or whatever, even human identity - that sense, that identification, is in error.
In truth, we are not identical to anything.
In truth we are unique and unlimited.

So, if something (multiculturalism in this specific case) can weaken our sense of identity, then that is a blessing, then it should be welcomed.

«The British heritage that made Australia what it is is being slowly but surely uprooted»

It is tectonic movements which made (and slowly keep remaking) Australia what it is.
Man did not make Australia, nor can man destroy it.

Funny how before diversity made us stronger, there was less crime, better wages, affordable houses, better health care, rigorous education, less social angst, no issues of integration, no fixation on 'racism', more national confidence and grooming just meant getting a haircut.

The big part of our culture that some people want to overlook; that separates us from most other countries; that immigrants know full well when they come here - is the fact that we are a Constitutional Monarchy. And, a majority of Australians like it, no matter what their racial and cultural background is. Our biggest problem is weak, self-serving politicians who now have nothing in common with the rest of us. They play us off against each other with quite deliberate identity politics - obsessions with differences, scrabbling for votes from people whom they insultingly believe all think they same way because of race, religion or cultural background.

It all comes back to the poor quality of the political class.

If politicians are not pulled into line over multiculturalism and mass immigration, we could be seeing the end of Western civilisation. It is being mobbed by the Third World with the connivance of our politicians.

Senator Ralph Babet often says something sensible.

“Everything that has held Western society together – from the nuclear family to the power grid – is being dismantled before our very eyes.

The foundations upon which the West has been built over thousands of years are being ripped up by people who haven’t the faintest clue about how, or with what, to replace them”.

Paul14o5,
Because the non-thinkers got the upper hand through sheer brutal force rather than thinking the removal of that so-called whack job aided the proliferation of the likes of you !

I really don't think that there is much hope for Australia, given our useless political class.

I note that Dutton won't take the cue from Trump and drop the economy-choking Paris Agreement and Net Zero. Australia will always be an outlier, I'm afraid: the poor white trash at arse end of the world.

Getting rid of the Albanese government will only really be tinkering at the edges. Dutton makes zero impression on me. Exactly the same on the climate scam, can't be trusted on immigration, same on multiculturalism, won't defund the Australian Broadcasting Communists, and differing from Labor only on piddling, feel-good matters.

Dutton claims that he would get along better with Trump than Albanese would. That would be up Trump, and I think Dutton, with the personality and attraction of a dead fish, is kidding himself.

If any of America's allies needs a kick up the arse, it is Australia. I hope Trump is not too polite to do it.

I used to blame voters for Australia's problems; but hey, what can they do about it with the rubbish available to them to vote for. The US has primary voting; we are stuck with the compliant drones that corrupt, self-serving parties choose for us.

As Europe and the US move towards the right, Australia moves to the left. The only country sillier is New Zealand, where they have just awarded human-type rights to a mountain.

We are seeing multiculturalism at work with now regular anti-Semitic, anti-Western demonstrations on the streets of our cities where the plethora of foreign cultures like to flock.

ASIO now predicts a “greater than 50 percent chance of a terrorist attack in the next 12 months” because of Labor’s pandering to an imagined Muslim community vote.

We have already had a firebombing and numerous attacks on one particular group of Australian citizens. These people are testing the waters, and getting little or no reaction from our useless government and police.

First, the Jews, then the rest of us.

While other world leaders are seeking out Trump, Albanese is lying low. Dutton hasn't indicated that he would be different. Both of them seem to have the gall to think that they can ‘deal with Trump’, the man we are cactus without.

And, no yap about loss of sovereignty, please. We are gradually turning that over to a Communist dictatorship as it is. If, as seems to be the case, we can't look after ourselves, America is the only place to turn - if a Trump America will have us.

It is predicted by people who actually know what they are talking about, that Trump will challenge Australia just as he has Canada on burden sharing. There will be a “big talk” about AUKUS and our defence spending. No less than 3% of GDP will be required.

It won't matter if it's Albanese or Dutton.

Labor’s foreign policy shift in favour of Palestinian jihadis has been interpreted as giving carte blanche to Israel and Jew-haters to terrorise peace-loving Australians in general and Jewish Australians in particular.

. Since October 7, there have been 2062 attacks on Jews, plus the Adass synagogue firebombing. Shades of the Nazi ‘Kristallnacht. So much for Australia being the “most successful multicultural country in the world! The latest atrocity was against a child-care centre.

. Police have failed to enforce the law. They just tell Jews to stay home. On the few occasions terrorist supporters have been prosecuted, no sentences have been imposed.

. Police protect the “right” of terrorist sympathisers to gather in public, wave their flags, burn the flags of law-abiding states, launch flares, and shout antisemitic threats and obscenities, but they don’t protect Jews.

2062? That's far less than one would expect during Jewish genocide.
Should I offer my fellow Aussies gold stars for being reasonably well behaved?
Or frown faces for being TOO-well behaved?

Lets face it, if there was no pushback at all during a genocide, One might probably find that MUCH MORE concerning overall.

A- Do Woke Marxist's practice saying "far right wack job", "fascist", "Nazi", "nut job", etc in the mirror. Sounds fascinating and stupid at the same time. I feel that Paul1405 is the wack job.

But I don't care Trump won, we all won, and he shut the border in 5mins, that the Democrats couldn't shut for 4 years, keep up the good work mate. Happy Australia Day, cheers to Captain Phillip, and thanks for creating Australia, and building everything. Hopefully Dutton shuts the border in 5mins too, come April, things are looking up, get in there and be part of the solution.
